With a heavy heart, Marcy Posey, mother of Kailia Posey broke the news of the death of her only daughter. She announced on her Facebook, “I don’t have words or any thoughts. A beautiful baby girl is gone. Please give us privacy as we mourn the loss of Kailia. My baby forever.”
A week before her death, Marcy shared on her Facebook, “Ladies and gents, Kailia made the high school football cheer team!!!!!!! We are screaming around this house. The girl went out of her comfort zone and worked so hard in tumbling. I am so proud of her and all the guys and gals that made it. One proud mom and dad”.

Marcy Posey likely married four times in her life. Her first husband was Jody Parker. They share a son named Kyle Dean Parker. After the divorce, Jody married his second wife Mandy Parker with whom he has a daughter named Kylie. The family is living in Wichita, Kansas.

Greg is a graduate of Union High School and Indiana State University. He works at Allegiant Airlines and currently lives in Bellingham, Washington. Greg is currently single.

Steve was born to his mother Barbara Laizure Gatterman and Eugene Paul Gatterman. His parents married in December 1958. After his parents’ divorce, his father married Naomi Raplee in May of 1977. They were married for 39 years. He lost his father in December 2016.

Since 1994, Steven is also serving as Chief Deputy at Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office. Whereas, since 2017, he has been working as Football Coach at Lynden Schools.
