Matt has been an integral part of the show since 2018 as a “stained glass expert”. The show itself started in December 2017 and Matt has been a part of the show for almost three years now. Matt is the “go-to” guy for glassworks in The Repair Shop.
Matt’s job in the show is basically to repair old windows, which usually need replacement rather than repair. However, many times, such items do have some emotional meaning to the owners. So, Matt usually repairs the windows for them.
The Repair Shop was created by Katy Thorogood and directed by Ben Borland. Jay Blades, who is a furniture restorer by profession, will be the foreman of the show. Matt first graduated from the University of Manchester in 2008. Then he did his Master of Arts in Stained Glass Conservation at the University of York and graduated with a distinction. When was he studying at the University of York, his traineeship was supported by York Minster Fund.
