In March 2021, on the day after her birthday (read below), Maurielle went to the hospital because she was having trouble breathing and had not been able to eat anything for almost a week. And then she had to spend a week in the hospital.
And even after she returned to her home after a week in the hospital, she continued to have fever and headaches. About the ordeal, Maurielle said, “This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through. The staff and the nurses have been great.” She also thanked her FOX 2 Detriot co-workers.
Now, coming back to the recent absence of Maurielle from Fox 2 Detriot, Maurielle was on a vacation to Bali in October 2021. Towards the end of October, Maurielle had announced that she would be back at the desk in the first week of November.
It is the 8th of November, the first week has already passed, and Maurielle had not yet returned to the show.
On the 1st of November, Maurille had Tweeted that her grandparents were COVID positive. She said that they were already 75 and although they were fully vaccinated, they were still experiencing many symptoms.
On the 5th of November, Maurille again Tweeted that her grandparents were “still fighting the COVID” but they were okay. Her grandparents’ COVID might be the reason for her absence from TV. Hopefully, her grandparents would get better and she would be back in FOX 2 Detriot soon.
