Meet Bonnie Dupree, Alaska: The Last Frotnier’s Atz Kilcher Wife
Bonnie Dupree and Atz Kilcher are old classmates. They stumbled upon each other in the late 70s and drove across the country, up the coast, landed in the town of Homer, and pitched a tent on the beach — all in just 9 days.
The two then moved to a tipi in the wilderness with nothing but a wood stove and a loft. Eventually, Bonnie felt comfortable being where no people were within miles and decided to marry Atz.
Thereafter, the love birds have been inseparable. Though Bonnie’s screen time may have been reduced on Alaska: The Last Frontier, offscreen, she and Atz were often seen traveling together, most recently in Boston.
The last we saw them, the duo was sending a little time at their Casita in southern Arizona. “Out hiking with my wife Bon Bon. Will be heading for Telluride Colorado To hang out with my grandson Kase, and my daughter Jewel,” Atz wrote on his IG at the time.
Later, Atz then hosted a concert at the Sheridan Opera house, a fundraiser for Operation Encore, a veterans program, and the local adaptive sports program. His wife was there too.
Did you know: Jewel has received four Grammy Award nominations and has sold over 30 million albums worldwide.
Bonnie Dupree And Atz Kilcher Kids
Bonnie Dupree shares no kids with Atz Kilcher.
The children — Shane Kilcher, Atz Lee Kilcher, and Jewel Kilcher — you see on the show are from Atz’s former marriage.
Talking about them: Shane was born in May 1971. He worked as a Project manager at the Cleanwater project for over 13 years. In 1990, he married Shane Kilcher, and together, they share 4 children.
As for Atz, the one who inherited his father’s name, he always considered himself the “black sheep” of the family. He left the subsistence life on the homestead looking for a bigger and better life in 2000. Then, he roamed the country with his guitar until he one day realized that the homestead where he was raised truly was the last frontier. A full circle, Atz returned to his roots built a cabin by hand and never left.

Lastly, Jewel is an aspiring opera singer who left pre-war Germany, headed to Alaska, and married Yule Kilcher because she felt her future children must be born somewhere free. She has traveled the world to sing at the Vatican for Pope John Paul II, sang with Bob Dylan, and graced the White House for President Clinton.
Surprisingly, Jewel isn’t on Alaska: The Last Frontier. But she did appear in three episodes back in 2016 when she returned to her family’s homestead after nearly seven years away
Besides these three, Atz also has another son named Nikos Kilcher who was featured on the show. He is also a musician before on March 7, 1984.
