Radio show host Dana Loesch is married to her husband Chris Loesch. According to IMDB, they married on 28 October 2000. Chris who was a Republican wooed her despite his political-right leanings and then brought her into the conservative tent. At the time Dana was attending St. Louis Community College at Meramec and she dropped out after meeting her husband-to-be, Chris, then a graphic designer who sang in a local punk band, wearing black eyeliner and nail polish.
“He was a total Romeo,” Dana told River Front Times, who sported a pixie haircut and pierced nose back in those days. “I’ll sound like a total airhead, but when you meet someone, you just know. I had a lot of ease around him that I’d never felt before.”
Dana, who was raised a Democrat, didn’t care. After a three-month courtship, the couple tattooed their ring fingers with Gaelic letters (“C” for her, “D” for him) and took their vows. On their 21st wedding anniversary, Chris posted on his IG to commemorate their anniversary. The couple referred to themselves as “non-denominational Jesus freaks.” Dana wrote on the blog, “We are non-denominational Jesus-freaks. I think some people are scared of Christians because they think we’re all like Piper Laurie’s Carrie character, fuzzy-headed carnival barkers who make a circus out of worship. Those kinds of people scare the crap out of me, too. I left the church for a while because I allowed other people to represent their distorted views of Christianity to me instead of discovering for myself.”
Soon they became parents to their first son Liam followed by their second and youngest son Ewan. The couple’s first son, Liam, was born soon after, and Dana enjoys recounting this story in all its gruesome, traumatic detail (and has done so in cyberspace). She did it the old-fashioned way, without any medications, with lots of screaming, and her mother-in-law recorded everything. She describes it as chaotic and bizarre, “like a Wes Anderson movie.”
When it came time for Loesch to deliver her second son, Ewan, she decided to get an epidural. She concludes, “I’ve had bowel motions that were tougher than the birth.”
As for her career, it was Chris who pushed her to get overly political. “I’d been pushing her to do it from the beginning,” Chris says. “I thought it would’ve grown the audience quicker.”
