Francis Jackson III is the older brother of Patrick G. Jackson and his twin brother William Jackson. He is the oldest son of Francis Gardner Jackson Jr (born on 24 February 1943). and Pamela Graves Hardee (born on 2 May 1944). His parents tied the knots on 12 January 1963.
