Just days after Try Guys’s Ned Fulmer was fired for having an ex-marital affair with an employee, Alexandria Herring, another ex-employee named Jake LaRosa of Try Guys went viral on Twitter and TikTok. On 27 September, Jake took to TikTok a video that he captioned My last day was Friday.
Jake shared that he left the YouTube collective. In the video, he is holding Ned and Ariel’s 2021 The Date Night Cookbook, as he sips on his beverage. The text on the video read, “Good Morning to everyone except Adam Levine, John Mulaney and …” the camera pans on the picture of Ned and Ariel. Meanwhile, the background music is the song by Jenni Hutchins titled ‘You Stupid B*tch.”
The video went viral on TikTok and fans inquired if they had more information to contribute regarding the situation. The viral video came after the Try Guys released a statement that read, “Ned Fulmer is no longer working with The Try Guys. As a result of a thorough internal review, we do not see a path forward together. We thank you for your support as we navigate this change.”
Jake joined The Try Guys in March 2022. According to Just Jarred, Jake previously managed the Try Guys‘ second channel. The LA-based filmmaker has also linked the YouTube collective’s second channel on his Instagram and TikTok.
Additionally, Jake has been seen on Try Guys’ second YouTube channel. The video “test guys crew tries vegan McDonald’s” that aired on their second channel on April 9 was his most recent appearance there. He appeared in a video with Keith, one of the main guys, as well. In May of this year, Jake shared a portion of the video on his Instagram. In 2021, Jake uploaded a photo to Instagram with the message, “Swipe to see my reaction when I learned I’d be working for @tryguys.”
