William Ma and Kelly Ma were dating for over a year before they finally revealed their relationship to the world in February 2023. The lovebirds’ first public appearance together was at Kelly’s baby shower at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills in stormy Los Angeles.
“Will and I just want to thank each one of you for being here today to celebrate this special occasion to welcome our little one, especially for those who flew in, in this crazy weather. When I was imagining my baby shower, I didn’t mean a literal shower,” Kelly told her guests.
Also, the Bling Empire star went on to confess that the weather for the past few days had been as moody as her pregnancy. “Having a new baby and being first-time parents can be really overwhelming, but each one of you here today has made us feel so supported and loved in different ways,” she added.
Amongst the 40 attendees were Bling Empire stars Kim Lee and Kane Lim, Selling Sunset stars Chrishell Stause, Mary Fitzgerald, and Amanza Smith, Dancing with the Stars alum Cheryl Burke, and Natalie Lee from Love Is Blind.
As for the baby shower, the pink-themed soiree included balloon clusters that spelled out “A Bling Baby is on the way.” Also, the party included the game “Find the Guest” where the winner received a pair of diamond bar earrings in 14K gold.
Their baby shower comes four months after Kelly announced her pregnancy in November 2022. At the time time, the Bling Empire star used pink-filled cupcakes to reveal the baby’s sex but without revealing the baby’s father. Also, she confessed that the pregnancy was a surprise. “I’m very much in denial. So it was really shocking but honestly, we’re just so grateful and so blessed,” she said.

Also, the officer promised to stop by his old stomping grounds for events and to take what he learned about community engagement there and apply it to the city’s community policing efforts throughout San Francisco. “The most important tool a police department can have is the relationships that we build with the community,” he explained.
Since the pandemic and the Stop Asian Hate movement, Chinatown had one of the most outspoken voices in support of local police. Their connection between the locals and the cops was even touted as a model for communities elsewhere. “Just ask anyone in Chinatown what they think of SFPD. They’ll tell you how they trust us and when there are problems, [they] have zero hesitation letting us know,” William said.
However, William’s reassignment has triggered mixed feelings. Even Edward Siu, the president and chairman of the Chinatown Merchants United Association, said he was not too thrilled about the neighborhood losing a bilingual officer.
Thanks to William’s fame almost the locals, he even went on to be featured in publications like NBC Bay Area and Wind NewsPaper.
The last we saw William on Wind NewsPaper was in Sept 2021. He hosted a surprise birthday party for a 63-year-old victim who was abandoned by her family at the time. His thoughtfulness inspire also police officers and members of the community
“I remember the victim’s birthday when I was helping her in July. I knew that she would be alone by herself on her birthday,” he recalled.
