On American Idol, Megan Danielle is a force to be reckoned with. The contender from season 21 has established herself in the competition after making it to the top 12 thus far.
Megan performed the song “You Say” by Christian singer Lauren Daigle at her American Idol audition. Megan was actually taken aback when Lauren joined her on stage for the tryout. The singer disclosed that she had previously been a member of a band that played live in bars in her introduction video. Her grandfather’s advice led her to transition to Christian music because performing in bars wasn’t what she really wanted to accomplish.
“This gave me an opportunity to share my love of God,” Megan told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution about participating on American Idol. “I want to be able to just lead people where the world is missing and the world is missing God. That’s what I strongly believe. And I want to really do better for myself and lead people in the right direction.”
Before American Idol, she had competed on The Voice. Megan participated in The Voice’s 18th season as a competitor. She belonged to Kelly Clarkson’s group. Before she was eliminated, she placed in the top 9. Michael Williams, another top 20 contender from the same season, competed against Megan as well.
