Fox has resumed airing Next Level Chef season 2, which debuted on February 12, 2023. The program is an epic, one-of-a-kind cooking competition with a distinctive venue for the contestants. The Next Level Chef set is located in a structure with more than three floors and a significantly different kitchen on each floor from the one before.
The chefs, under the direction of well-known chefs Gordon Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington, and Richard Blais, must work to produce culinary magic no matter the conditions in the kitchen, from the difficult bottom of the basement to the opulent top floor. The top home cooks, social media chefs, and professional chefs have joined the cast and been divided into three separate teams after being hand-selected by Ramsay and his co-mentors after scouring the nation.
The stakes are high for the competing cooks with a one-year mentoring and $250,000 on the line.
Mehreen Karim is one of the 18 contestants this season. She is currently working as a home-cook now. But, two episodes in, she is still safe. The contestant to be sent home in episode 2 of season 2 was Alex Morizio of Brooklyn, New York. The first contestant to be eliminated was Kamahlai Stewart.
Mehreen Karim Career
Mehreen Karim is a recipe developer, writer, editor, and photographer. She managed digital recipe building, wrote cooking stories, and developed recipes for Bon Appétit. She has been working at Bon Appetit as a digital recipe production assistant since April 2021. Moreover, she is also a communications assistant for NYU Work Life since February 2019.
According to her LinkedIn, Mehreen started her career at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as STD Research Intern. In 2015, Mehreen worked at AIESEC as an account manager.
Furthermore, she worked at the Center for American Progress as a women’s health intern. From May 2016 to July 2016, Mehreen worked at Feminist Women’s Health Center (Atlanta) as Grassroots Organizer Intern. Moreover, from 2016 to 2018, Mehreen worked at HEART Women and Girls as a Women’s Health Educator.

Among her friends, she is known as Reenie. The reality celeb secured her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Georgia in 2017 and completed her Master’s in Global Public Health from New York University in 2020, as per LinkedIn.
Is Mehreen Karim Married?
Yes, she is. Mehreen Karim is married to her husband Rais Ahmed. They accepted each other as husband and wife on 24 August 2019.
The couple got engaged in July 2019. On their first engagement anniversary, Rais posted on his IG, “One year ago I proposed to this perfect loser. It was our perfect moment —surrounded by friends, family, and a ton of random strangers. I’m just glad I can still make you laugh and smile as much as at this moment on somewhat of a daily basis. Even if it’s you just being nice and pretending to laugh at my jokes.”
On New Year’s Day 2022, Mehreen opened up about the greatest 10 minutes of 2021. She wrote, “the greatest ten minutes of 2021. an hour before our wedding reception, rais and I exchanged vows—a custom neither of us grew up seeing in South Asian weddings. I think these ten minutes of sharing our promise and intentions for the rest of our marriage not only changed the rest of our wedding day but the rest of my year—and most probably the rest of my life.”
She concluded, “those ten minutes evoked infinite variations of emotions across the spectrum of being alive: feelings of joy, fear, resilience, steadfastness, anxiety, and hope. so much hope. and so many dreams. all within the best ten minutes of my best day this year.”
The couple started dating each other in mid-2017. On their 6 month dating anniversary in February 2018, Mehreen posted, “Here’s to 6 months of learning and loving each other for what we are— lactose intolerant.”
In April 2022, Mehreen wished her husband, the “happiest of birthdays to you. 💗we’re all so lucky to be here, loving you.”
The couple doesn’t share any children as of this writing.
