Before this, on 31 May 2021, as they also celebrated Gray’s birthday, it was Mike’s turn to tell “Happiest of happy birthdays, and 13th anniversary to this amazing lady… my wife, I love you so much and I am the luckiest:)”.
A year before, in January 2020, when Mike had sepsis in his knee joint, which spread to MRSA in his blood, he had surgery to clean the knee and was admitted on a constant drip of Vancomycin to fight the MRSA infection. And even then he made sure to shout out to his wife for never leaving his side and being unapologetically helpful.
