Nathan Smothers from Farmer Wants A Wife shared earlier in the show that he is young but losing his dad made him a man and a responsible individual. It was a great loss for his family who was survived by Nathan’s mom Sabrena Albritton Smothers.

Nathan was introduced on season 2 of Farmer Wants A Wife as a fourth-generation citrus and cattle farmer from Bartow, Florida. Among the four leading men, he is the youngest. But despite his age, he believes he is very mature. “I think I’m a lot more mature than a lot of people my age,” Nathan said in the Season 2 premiere. “My dad passed away when I was 12. …It’s kind of made me into the man I am today.”
On his vast 500-acre cattle pasture and 300-acre ranch, Nathan preserves his family’s legacy. However, taking care of his land is such a large task that it doesn’t allow him much time for dating.
Nathan discusses in the season premiere how the death of a close personal friend motivated him to take over the family business. Nathan wants to have kids with his bride after he (hopefully) finds her on the show. “Eager to begin his next chapter, including starting a family with the love of his life,” according to his bio.
“He returned to live and work on the farm full time when he graduated from college and is eager to begin his next chapter, including starting a family with the love of his life,” his bio reads.
“I can’t wait to find that partner that can be with me until hopefully the end of time,” Nathan shared.

Meet Sabrena Albritton, Nathan Smothers Mother
Nathan Smothers’s mother is named Sabrena Albritton. Sabrena is the daughter of the late Phyllis Voigt Albritton and Nicholas Albritton.
Phyllis, Sabrena’s mom, was born on November 6, 1942, in Jacksonville, she was the daughter of the late Carldon and Guynelle Voigt. She was a homemaker and a member of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of Bartow. Phyllis passed away on 16 September 2010 at the age of 67.
Sabrena’s dad Nick Albritton and her late mom were married for 47 years. Sabrena also has a sister named Christena Black Bryan.
Meet Bobby Ray Smothers, Nathan Smothers Father
The late Bobby Ray Smother is the father of Nathan Smothers.
Bobby’s obituary reports that he graduated from Bartow High School and Erskine College. He worked for Carpenter Co. for fifteen years before taking a position as a sales manager for Allied Aerofoam Products for eight years.
Furthermore, Bobby was an elder at Christ Community Presbyterian Church of Lakeland, a founding board member of Geneva Classical Academy, and a deacon at the Bartow Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, where he also oversaw the youth group for many years.
Bobby was only 50 at the time of his death.
