Teddi Wright, a former cast member of The Bachelor, tied the knot with Nicholas Meyers in a small ceremony in Napa Valley, California, in front of 97 of their closest relatives and friends. As she was ready to walk down the aisle, Wright exclusively told PEOPLE that she wanted her closest and dearest to be there for the wedding.
“It was really important to us that our wedding feel intimate, that everyone that was there was someone who was significant to us in our journey either separately or as a couple,” she explained. “It turned into a weekend party to celebrate our love with friends and family!”
Teddi and CMG Weddings & Events chose a traditional black and white color scheme for the theme, and plenty of candles and flowers were used as décor. The reality star says that even though peonies aren’t in season right now, her florist Edgar Martinez Ruacho found her favorite flower and added an extra touch of magic to the ceremony.
Teddi shared, “I was very hopeful to incorporate peonies into my day. Somehow my florist worked his magic and I had the most beautiful peony bridal bouquet!” She chose a stunning gown from Grace Loves Lace, going for a relaxed elegance. The “se*y” low back and “timeless and classy” high neckline of the white satin dress were features that the Bachelor alum adored.
“I just felt so confident in it and like a bride when I put it on and I knew it was my dress right away!” she told PEOPLE.
The beautiful bride claims that the first glimpse was one of the most memorable parts of the big day. Before saying their customary vows at the altar, Teddi told PEOPLE that she and Nicholas took advantage of the chance to recite their personal vows to one another.
“We were both so nervous, so it was so nice to see him ahead of time and just remember that these moments are what it is all about!” she shared.
“All of our siblings were at our wedding,” Teddi added. “My brother walked my mother down the aisle. His brothers were at the groomsmen’s party. My sister was my maid of honor and walked down the aisle with her husband and two sons as the ring bearers – they looked so cute in their tiny suits!”
Together with their spouses and their daughters—who functioned as flower girls—her other sister and her sister-in-law also made their way down the aisle. “In tutus and flower crowns.”
“It was really special for our siblings to have these roles as it felt like seeing the love in the generations that came before us walking down the aisle before I walked down to my now husband,” she added.
The reality star posted a video to her social media, captioned, “First New Year Kiss Ever!!” It started with footage of her sobbing and finished with multiple pictures of her with Nicholas, including them kissing, posing for a picture, and him applying makeup. 👶🏽 #2023 Happy New Year 🫶 The Bachelor in Paradise alum revealed that she and Nicholas were engaged after just three months.
Teddi shared the good news via an Instagram video that featured a compilation of the couple’s joyful moments as well as a peek at her diamond ring, which was fashioned by Jean Dousset. “So this is love … 🤍💍,” she began the announcement. “I am engaged and feel so blessed I get to spend forever with my best friend :’) I’ve been crying for days since it has happened and it still feels like a dream.”
Teddi also praised her then-fiancé’s ring selection, writing, “Can we take a moment for how good my fiancé (omg) and @jeandousset did on the ring. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!! 🫶🏽✨💍,” she added. “Now let’s get me married 💪🏽”
In May 2023, Teddi and Nicholas moved together in their first home. She wrote, “You move into your first home with your fiancé at 26 and know you never have to sleep alone again 🥹.”
