The artist ignited relationship speculations when she included upcoming chef Nicholas in a string of Instagram pictures from a trip to Japan. She captioned a slideshow with “Tokyo in the rain” on February 14th, 2023.
Two license plates were side-by-side in one black-and-white image, and Nicholas was seen strolling down a quiet street in another. On the post, it looked like the comments were disabled. Anna Marie continued by teasing via her Instagram Story on February 16 that she had picked up a couple of knives on the getaway, with the caption, “Goes to Japan with a chef.”
Nicholas uploaded a photo dump of his own from the duo’s vacation, sharing 10 Instagram snaps in February 2023. The last shot appeared to be a cartoon representation of him and Anna Marie posing with hearts-shaped hands. The associated caption said, “10. かわいい,” which means “cute” in Japanese.
Anna Marie and Tran have reportedly been seeing each other for a few months, according to a Page Six report from Friday, February 17. The duo hasn’t made any public remarks about their situation. John and the Connecticut native were previously married for almost seven years before Us Weekly reported that they had separated in May 2021.

As the son of a Vietnamese immigrant, Nicholas Tran was exposed to Asian cuisine at a young age, which influenced me greatly. But he didn’t start to fall in love with the concept of working as a professional chef until he got a job as a dishwasher accidentally. Since then, he has been lucky enough to travel, eat, and cook all over the world.
After accepting a job as a dishwasher, Nicholas fell in love with the food industry. He worked his way up the food chain, honing his skills while working at renowned restaurants around the globe. He worked in places including Quince (3 Michelin Stars), Cotogna, and Kappo Masa in New York and San Francisco, respectively.
At the moment, Nicholas manages The Dark Room, an eight-seat gourmet dining pop-up concept. Nicholas observed that many fine dining chefs and establishments switched to making takeout cuisine during the pandemic. He got the concept for sushi boxes from that. He has a lot of experience making sushi and cooking Japanese food.
Nicholas was inspired by an omakase experience he had in Tokyo at a restaurant called Hakkoku and wanted to find a way to make my sushi special.
