Noky Simbani, a beauty queen who competed for Great Britain in the Miss Universe pageant, made it into the Big Brother house. Drama in the house could result from her branding herself as “so competitive” and admitting to “sharing her opinion” without being asked.
A TV source told the newspaper: “Noky’s an ideal housemate. Not only is she beautiful but she’s got brains and a fantastic personality. Several casting producers have been desperate to sign her to reality shows. But she didn’t want to choose something too obvious like Love Island. She felt BB would show there’s more to her than looks.”
Noky told Big Brother producers that she loves challenges which is the reason she joined the show. She explained, “I’ve had so many amazing times in my life, like going to Miss Universe as Miss Great Britain. I like to do something different and I think this is the next challenge I want to conquer. I want to show people what pageant girls are really like and disprove a lot of stereotypes around them. I also show what it’s like being a woman who’s worked in male-dominated fields. I want to show that women are capable of doing anything they want.”
With the prize money, if she wins, Noky plans to visit her grandparents in Zimbabwe.
While Noky is in BB house, a rather well-known reality star is vouching for her. Instagram claims that Noky and Sharon Gaffka, the star of Love Island 2021, are close pals. Sharon supported her pal Noky on Instagram Stories when she made her ITV debut.

Noky Simbani shared that her family and friends would describe her as “very opinionated, I’ve got something to say about literally everything. They’ll say that I can be very spontaneous. I think they can expect the unexpected with me at any point. Maybe slightly delusional as well? When I want something, I’ll set my mind on it, even if it sounds really stupid, I know I can achieve it. So yeah, delusional too.”
Noky first got into pageants when she visited the Clothes Show Live, a fashion exhibition with her mum. She was approached by a woman who became her first pageant director. Noky added: “At the time, I had no idea about pageants. I didn’t know anything about them, but I loved watching modeling shows, and I was like, ‘Oh, that sounds great, I’ll give it a go.”

Noky has one sister named Tiny Khanya Simbani. You can find Tiny on IG and FB. Tiny is a Former Youth Mayor of Derby. She also became Miss Galaxy UK 3RU.

Noky Simbani works in finance, as a banker. She is responsible for handling people who make at least £2 million annually.
Noky claims to be a “really important” feminist who believes that equal opportunities for women and men to thrive in life are necessary. “Women can do anything that men can do, and they can do it better,” Noky said, hinting at a provocative side that may cause tension down the line.
Also, Noky has obtained a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Birmingham. Having worked as an engineer, she is now a qualified chartered banker and currently works on marketing-leading projects to support business growth.
Noky has previously traveled to India to spend time with women who have been disfigured by acid attacks.
Regarding her pageantry career, Noky competed as a 15-year-old in the Miss Teen Great Britain competition in 2012 and went on to win Miss Grand England at the age of 20 in 2017.
Noky wanted to remind people that participating in a pageant is not just about looking the prettiest on stage. Speaking shortly after she was crowned Miss Universe GB, she said: “I can’t even comprehend it. I’m still in shock. I literally fell to the floor. My knees buckled because I was in so much shock. It’s the biggest prize you can win in pageantry in the UK. A year ago I would never have told you I could do that, it felt beyond my wildest dreams.”
She added, “In pageants this day and age, it’s not just about being the prettiest face or walking well, you really have to have the whole package, and obviously, beauty is in the eye of the beholder so how you look isn’t really a factor, it’s more what you can bring as the total package.”
Speaking more about pageantry, Noky added, “I realized that it wasn’t just about modeling, but it’s so much more. It’s about charity work, building your personal brand and just becoming a better version of yourself. So I did well in the first one, and I thought I’d do some more. In 2017 I won my first national pageant and went to Vietnam to represent England, and that was incredible.”
Noky founded Social Impact Initiative Boss Bios Celebrating Women to Empower Women. She hosted an event Boss Brunch & Clothing Drive Brown’s Bar and Brasserie Birmingham, B5 4BH in support of A-Sisterhood and Smart Works on June 19, 2022.
