Payton Sykes has been with Navarro college for the year ’19-20′ and ’20-21′ teams. His Netflix profile reads, “As one of the team’s stars, Sykes brings the sass to Navarro’s routine. He also cheers for Cheer Athletics and Woodlands Elite Cheer Company.” He is one of the new faces that we’re going to show in season 2 of the show.
With the Navarro College cheerleaders, the Emmy-winning docuseries return. The show’s first season premiered in January 2020. As a result of the show, Navarro’s coach, Monica Aldama, and the rest of her team became celebrities.
Jerry Harris, his arrest, and the aftermath of his arrest will also be the center of the 2022 season, according to the show’s second season trailer. After the first season’s success, the second season of ‘Cheer’ began filming in secret in January 2020. The coach and cheerleading squad from Navarro’s arch-rival Trinity Valley Community College are also featured in the new season.
Because of the COVID-19 outbreak, production was halted in March. Filming, however, resumed in September 2020. In its second season, the show contains nine episodes. This time, however, things are different. Navarro must defend their championship against Trinity Valley Community College this time.
From early 2020 until April 2021, the events surrounding Jerry Harris are recorded in the series, with the charges against him being covered in episode five. On the show, the brothers who accused Jerry of sexual communication will also tell their stories.
Other newbies besides Cassadee are Brooke Morosca, Gillian Rupert, Maddy Brum, and Gillian Rupert.

Payton Sykes was born to his father Quent Sykes and his mother Rohanna Sykes. His parents have been together at least since 1995.

Rohanna also worked as a services counselor at Klein High School and is a certified school and a licensed professional counselor supervisor. Furthermore, she is vice-chair of the State Board for Educator Certification and a member of the Texas School Counselors Association, Texas Counselors Association (TCA), former chair of the TCA Public Policy and Advocacy Committee, and former co-chair of the TCA Human Rights Committee.
Moreover, Rohanna is currently the chair of the Spring Creek Counseling Association (SCCA) Legislative Committee and a member of the Klein Leadership Coalition. She is the 2013 recipient of the TCA Dr. Jamesanna Kirven Outstanding Counselor Award. Brooks-Sykes received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University.
As for his siblings, Payton has a brother named Preston Sykes. Preston attended Klein High School followed by Texas State Technical College. He is serving at Army National Guard. Payton and Preston also have a younger sister.
