Who Are Pedro Pascal Sisters?
Actor Pedro Pascal is the son of Jose Pedro Balmaceda Riera and Veronica Pascal.
Pedro and his siblings were reared in Orange County, Calif., and San Antonio, Texas. Their parents were compelled to leave Chile in the 1970s due to political upheaval when he was nine months old. However, once it was safe to do so, the Pascal children were allowed to travel back to Chile with their parents so they could visit their families.
During his appearance on Saturday Night Live, Pedro prepared a monologue where he talked about his parents. Pedro’s dad attended Colegio San Ignacio. He studied medicine at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He later attended The University of Texas System in the United States. Moreover, he is currently working at Clinica Monteblanco as a fertility doctor. His late mother was a child psychologist.
The Chilean-American actor’s mother passed away when he was residing in New York City and beginning his acting career. “She was always incredibly supportive, never a stage mom,” Pedro told PEOPLE in 2020. “I always felt like she knew something that I didn’t.” Soon after her passing, Pascal switched his professional last name from his father’s Balmaceda to his mother’s Pascal.
“None of [my success] would be real if it weren’t for her,” he said.
