Raygan Tyler is one of the new faces in Below Deck Mediterranean season 7 which premiered on 11 July after nearly nine months since the last season. This season viewers will head to Malta. A new yacht named Home is the home of seven newbies.
In the show, Raygan is working as a Bosun, the second female in her role since the show began in 2016. Other new casts include Jason Gaskell (Deckhand), Storm Smith (Deckhand), Natalya Scudder (third stew), Kyle Viljoen (second Stew), Dave White (Chef), and Natasha Webb (Chief Stew).

One episode in, Raygan Tyler is finding herself in trouble. Viewers see deckhand Jason struggling to carry multiple heavy objects and she doesn’t receive any help from Raygan. Jason initially succeeds in keeping quiet about the seeming imbalance in the workload between himself and Raygan despite being aware of the situation with the small deck crew.
Bosun Ragan Tyler is working with just one deckhand as Mzi “Zee” Dempers and Storm Smith are stuck in quarantine. That leaves a heavy load for lone deckhand Jason Gaskell — literally.
Just minutes into the first episode, Jason begins to struggle to carry multiple heavy objects, and he receives no help from Raygan. Jason knows the situation with the limited deck crew, and he initially manages to keep quiet about the seemingly unbalanced workload between himself and Raygan.
“I try to bite my tongue while I’m busting my butt,” Jason says in a confessional. “I stand by my work ethic, and it’s just easier to just take it on the chin and say, ‘Copy.'”
When Raygan advises Jason to brighten up during a break they share in the crew mess, Jason feels the bite on his tongue lessen a little. “I like how you have all the energy now that you’re not lifting the heavy stuff,” he tells Raygan. “‘I can’t lift this bag, it’s too heavy.’ Well, tough sh*t — lift it”.
Billy, a charter guest, also has a problem with Raygan regarding her attitude towards him. But, Kyle defends her by saying she simply wants to make sure she knows exactly what the charter guests want. Billy even claims her to be his enemy. Billy also talks with Captain Sandy about his unpleasant encounter with Raygan. Captain Sandy apologizes and then goes to help Raygan and Jason get the toys in the water.
Some say that Raygan might as well lose her job in this manner.
According to the Reddit post, Raygan is the source of the major storyline spoiler for Below Deck Med Season 7. Raygan reportedly “does not last and one of the deckhands is promoted.” As a result of the shift, Courtney Veale is brought on as a deckhand. So yes, Courtney and Mzi will reportedly both be working on the deck this season!
