Robert Brotherton was first introduced on My Unorthodox Life as a close friend and longtime colleague of Julia Haart. Born on 10 August 1987, his parents are named Bob Brotherton and Mitizi Miller Brotherton, reportedly his adoptive parents. Robert featured his parents together once on his IG back in 2015 when they “dropped him off at the airport.”
Robert was adopted, but on the show, he was set to meet a woman who was named his “birth person”. We witnessed Robert search for his birth mother and his worries that doing so could anger his adoptive family in an episode of the Netflix reality series. The last time we saw him, Robert was working as the COO (chief operating officer) of Julia’s modeling company Elite Model World in 2021 after joining the company in August 2018. Before joining Elite Model World, Robert worked for La Perla as global director of marketing and public relations officer for almost three years.
Robert is a double bachelor’s holder. He studied a bachelor of arts — music, opera, and performance at Syracuse University, and again went on to study a bachelor of science in advertising and management at the same university. Robert also stars in My Unorthodox Christmas Cabaret at 54 Below, a private event venue on Broadway.
Julia has already spoken candidly about her divorce from millionaire and entrepreneur Silvio Scaglia, her second spouse. She was fired from Elite Model World after she filed for divorce and cited fundamentalist beliefs as the cause (also co-owned by Silvio). When they broke up, Robert was also put on suspension, and he was later fired.
Who Is Robert Brotherton Father, Bob Brotherton?
Bob Brotherton or Robert Paul Brotherton was born on 23 January 1951. He served as a judge for the 30th District Court in Wichita County, Texas. He joined the bench in 1989, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Calvin Ashley.
Prior to his appointment, Bob served as an associate municipal judge for the City of Wichita Falls Municipal Court from 1984 to 1989. He also worked as an assistant district attorney for the Wichita County District Attorney’s Office from 1980 to 1982. Whereas, from 1982 to 1989, he served as a partner at Brotherton & Thompkins and an associate at the Law Office of Mack Ray Hernandez from 1979 to 1980.
As Bob’s LinkedIn reveals, he attended the University of North Texas where he got his Marketing degree in 1973. Bob secured his JD from the University of Texas School of Law at Austin School of Law in 1979. His membership has included the Rotary Club of Wichita Falls and the Northwest Texas Council of Boy Scouts of America.
In 2018, Wichita County named the juvenile courtroom in his honor. In December 2018, Bob retired after 29 years. “It’s great to recognize people for their accomplishments and achievements,” said Wichita County Judge Woody Gossom. “It’s even more special to be able to recognize them while they are still part of the team.”

Mitizi Miller Brotherton is Robert Brotherton’s adoptive mother. In January 2022, Mitizi turned 69 years old. Mitizi is working as a court administrator since March 1978. She is currently based in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Mitizi entered his 40th year with Wichita County in 2018 and retired from being the county court administrator Wednesday. Despite repeatedly telling her staff and county officials that she didn’t want a big celebration for her retirement. “I thought I was going to walk out the same way I walked in 40 years ago,” she said.
Mitizi was born to her parents Agnes Streit Miller and J.E. “Poogie” Miller who passed away on 23 December 2016 in Vernon, Texas at the age of 96. Mitizi has a brother named Taz Miller, and a sister Angie Miller of Vernon.
