Who Are Maine Mass Shooter Robert Card Parents?
Coming from Bowdoin, Maine, Robert Card belongs to a city that has around 3000 of population. He went to public school, won an award in a third-grade literary contest, made the honor roll in high school, threw horseshoes in a local league, and bowled at an alley on Mollison Way near Lewiston.
His family was part of a central Maine family with deep roots in the region.
Before his name was made public, locals already knew Robert was the suspect as his mental health issues were well-known in society. Locals reported that the issues began when he trained with the Army Reserves regiment. While Robert was in training, military leaders observed he behaved erratically and was sent to Keller Army Community Hospital at the US Military Academy in New York for medical evaluation.
He was enlisted in the army in the winter of 2002 while working toward a degree in engineering technology at the University of Maine. Robert never graduated as he committed to the Armed Forces. He ranked up to become sergeant first class and earned the Army Achievement Medal and the Humanitarian Service Medal.
Robert is now a first sergeant and has the military specialty of “petroleum supply specialist.” Most recently he was assigned to the Third Battalion 304th Infantry Regiment in Saco, Maine.
According to investigators, Robert is wanted on eight charges of murder, and an arrest warrant was issued Thursday morning. According to police, the numbers will probably rise when the identities of the other victims are confirmed.
Eight of the gunshot victims have been recognized, and their relatives have been informed.
The police department in Lewiston labeled Robert as “should be considered armed and dangerous.” After the shooting, Robert fled the scene of the crime, according to the police.
Authorities have released many photos of the shooting suspect and urged anyone who recognizes him to get in touch with them. Images of the man, who was wearing a brown shirt, black jeans, and light shoes, were posted on social media by the Lewiston Police Department on Wednesday night. He was seen clutching a semiautomatic weapon at one of the shooting scenes.
According to the law enforcement warning, Robert lately claimed to be having mental health problems, including hearing voices, and he made threats to shoot up a military base in Saco. The alert also stated that he was reportedly admitted for two weeks this past summer to a mental health facility.

Rob Card’s father Robert Card Sr reached 61 in May 2023. He worked as an electrician while also owning a cow meat or dairy farm in Maine.
Robert Sr. reportedly holds a master electrician’s license.
Meet Janna Card, Robert Card Mother
Robert Card’s mother is called Janna Card. Janna turned 60 years old in 2023. She ran the farm alongside her husband but has stated on her Facebook that she has a disability.
On her FB bio, she writes, “MARRIED TO ROBERT FOR 31 YRS. WE HAVE 3 CHILDREN, RYAN, ROB, AND NICOLE. WE HAVE 7 GRANDCHILDREN, WITH 1 ON THE WAY. I AM DISABLED I BABYSIT ROB’S SON, COLBY. I SPEND MY TIME WITH MY 2 DOGS & 4 CATS. WE HAVE A DAIRY FARM, AND ALSO WE RAISE MEAT COWS. ROBT WORKS AS AN ELECTRICIAN.”
Before her disability, Janna was a Rural Mail Carrier at the US Postal Service from 1987 to 2002. She is a graduate of Lisbon High School.

“I have known Rob my whole life,” Robert’s sister-in-law Katie, made the statement to the Daily Beast. “He is quiet but the most loving, hardworking, and kind person that I know. But in the past year, he had an acute episode of mental health, and it’s been a struggle.”
Regarding hearing voices, Katie added, “He truly believed he was hearing people say things.” ”
This all just happened within the last few months,” then added, “He would get mad and claim that we didn’t believe him. We tried to listen to him and tell him that nobody was talking about him. Yesterday, as the story was unfolding, we prayed that Rob had nothing to do with this. But when we heard the two places where the shooting happened, my husband rushed home.”
Robert’s sister is named Nicole Card who is 39 years old.
