Business competition series fans must be happy for their favorite The Apprentice returned with its sixteenth series on BBC One on 6 January 2022. And like in old times, the makers brought in three judges as Lord Sugar, Baroness Brady, and Tim Campbell, and 16 new entrepreneurs. (Of course) Shama Amin, whom we are going to discuss in the rest of the writing is one of them.

On her very first entry on the show and before getting ready to enter the boardroom, Shama Amin introduces herself like this — “Being a lady of color, wearing a headscarf as well, and the challenges that we face daily, I just want to be a living example for the Asian women and South Asian women out there.”
Stephanie Afflek, Aaron Willis, Kathryn Louise Burn, Harpreet Kaur, Amy Anzel, Akeem Bundu-Kamara, Francesca Kennedy Wallbank, Harry Mahmood, Nick Showering, Alex Short, Sophie Wilding, Brittany Carter, Conor Gilsenan, Navid Sole, and Akshay Thakrar joins Shama on this journey.
And when ranking all these people by just how ridiculous they are, a National World reporter put Shama in the second least ridiculous rank citing — “The least ridiculous of them all she will probably deserve to win but get blamed for something early on by the rest of her team.”
Shama, in her words, is ready to prove to everyone, including judge Lord Sugar, that she has the skill set needed to be “one of the best [and most] successful businesswoman, in the early years’ sector”.
Bradford’s media news company @basedinbradford, on behalf of its community, has shown its support towards Shama citing that their Bradford woman is hoping to win the challenge in the first place.
Before starring in The Apprentice, in 2017, Shama Amin was a finalist for the Bradford “Mum of the Year” awards and was also featured as one of BBC Radio Leeds finalists to become the “Voice of Bradford”.
Shama was also shortlisted for the Inspirational Women Foundation award in the same category “Mum of the Year” in 2012.

And luckily, since its opening, the organization has welcomed countless children through its doors and has proven to be popular among both parents and children.
