Reportedly, Harpreet launched Barni’s Dessert Parlour back in 2018, as a sister business to Big Momma’s Creperie at the White Rose Centre, Leed. Its menu is comprised of French crepes, Belgian waffles, hot cookie dough, and shakes.
“Family is at the heart of it – we have high chairs, parking spaces and we’re near the town center. We have a children’s menu designed for the under 6s and we’ll be doing children’s birthday parties too,” Harpreet shared.
Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, their dessert parlor was open with utmost safety measures. “We continue to try our best to bring you delicious treats every day during these unpredictable times! They are prepared fresh to order and with care by our team,” they assured.
Over the years, Barni’s Dessert Parlour has been met with rave reviews for its impeccable service and delicious food. Moreover, it also has created around 15 new jobs.
So, why did she get into the sweet business? According to Harpreet, her family is from Huddersfield and they always wanted to open a family-friendly place where people can come, sit and enjoy with friends. Thus, acknowledging the fact that there wasn’t any place where people can “drop in and pick up a milkshake or crepe to go,” Harpreet and her family decided to pioneer the culture.
