The seventh installment of Below Deck Mediterranean hit the screen on July 7, 2022. And this time, under the captainship of Sandy Yawn, there appeared a brand new set of skilled yachties which included our star, Storm Smith.
However, not everyone was a new face. Returning this season with even more experience also was Mzi “Zee” Dempers — Storm’s childhood friend. Perhaps, it was Mzi who influenced Storm into coming to the show?
As a deckhand, Storm promised to use his abundance of knowledge from his time on a handful of different boats, and meet the exceptionally high standards and demands of the yachting industry. Also, given his defense mechanism to make light of the situation, the star didn’t mind the dramas. However, he didn’t have an issue taking hold of the ropes when things got out of hand either.
At the time of writing this article, Storm had already graced 2 eps of Below Deck Mediterranean — the first ep title “There’s No Place Like Home,” and the second “ I’ve Got a Sea-cret.”
Joining Storm for the 7th installment of the show were his co-stars — Chief Stew Natasha Webb, Chef Dave White, Bosun Raygan Tyler, Stew Kyle Viljoen, Deckhand Mzi “Zee” Dempers, and Deckhand Jason Gaskell.

Storm Smith flaunted a net worth of above $400 thousand in 2022.
This “modern pirate” fell in love with boating at a young age. Ever since he’s been working on making a career out of his hobby. However, he did try different jobs, from culinary to acting, but he just couldn’t love either of them as much as he loved being on the show.
So, finally adventuring into the yachting industry, Storm started as a surf guide in Sumatra. Later, he then began working on a surfing and diving-centric charter yacht and has worked on boats up to 240 feet.
Also, in early 2021, he started a business with his best mates Brandon Volbrecht and William Ferreira
For those of you interested, Storm made around $3,500 to $4,500 a month, and up to $50,000 a season, from his time as a deckhand on Below Deck Mediterranean.

Did you know: Storm wasn’t in his best health in 2021. “My health has been pretty turbulent and I often worry about my ticker but it drives me to wake up earlier and make the most of out of every moment and adventure,” he shared.
Is Storm Smith Dating Anyone?
Yes, Storm Smith is dating his girlfriend Chloe Griffin as of 2022.
The last we saw the duo, they were celebrating Chloe’s birthday (i.e in July) in Lake Como, Italy.
Prior to Chloe, Strom was dating Christy Morgan. The two began their relationship in September 2011, and over the years, they had a lot of adventures which including trekkings, scuba diving, rock jumping, and more. But Christy was studying in London. So, their long-distance relationship just didn’t work out, and the pair separated in 2020.
“I went through a very emotional breakup, drank heaps of cold beers, shared colder barrels with closer friends, and spent an amazing time with my family,” Storm recalled his time then.

Storm Smith comes from a family of at least seven.
Sadly, his parents, Nicki and Wouter Smith have long separated. And from the looks of it, Wouter seems to have remarried.
As for Storm’s mother, we don’t know about her love life. The last we saw, she ran a 10km trial run and got a medal.
Talking about Storm’s siblings, he has two little sisters and two brothers who loved Justin Bieber. All of them have been featured on Storm’s IG.
