Who Is Timothy Oketch, Survivor 42 Maryanne Oketch Dad?
Timothy Oketch is the father of Survivor 42 winner Maryanne Oketch. By profession, Dr. Oketch is a Professional Engineer and Senior Consultant in Road Safety, Traffic Engineering, Transportation Planning, and Modelling. He is currently working as the Principal & Director at TIMCON Associates since 2011.
Before that, Timothy worked as AECOM’s Senior Project Manager from 2003 to 2011. He also worked as Transportation Engineer in the City of Toronto from 2002 to 2003. He had also served as Project Manager at the Ontario Ministry of Transportation.
Coming to his academic qualifications, Timothy attended the University of Nairobi and earned his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering. He earned M.Sc. degree in Transportation Engineering from Technische Universiteit Delft. Moreover, he holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Transporation Engineering at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
Timothy is a 3rd generation doctorate holder in Civil Engineering. He has over 20 years of experience in the field of civil engineering, with a focus on transportation planning, traffic engineering, and modeling.
Moreover, Timothy has played a major role in developing various models and concepts in the industry, both in Canada and internationally. He is a recognized modeling expert, with experience in both micro-simulation and demand forecasting models. He is affiliated with various professional organizations and participates actively in international professional organizations.
Who Is Consolata Oketch, Survivor 42 Maryanne Oketch Mom?
Survivor 42 Maryanne Oketch’s mother is Consolata Oketch. While entering the show, Maryanne shared, “My hero is my mother. She was born into poverty in a village in Kenya as the youngest of five. My mother is so hardworking and managed to get herself out of poverty and became a doctor in Kenya and was able to provide for her mom.”
The winner continued, “She then gave that all up to support my father’s dreams, but then became a doctor in Canada while having three young children while dealing with the systemic racism in academic medicine. My mom sacrificed and worked so hard to give her family a better life and never faltered from her dreams. I aspire to be like her. She changed my life”.
Consolata is a medical doctor at Health Care since October 2009. She holds independent practice since 2009. Moreover, she is educated at the University of Nairobi and holds MBchB, in Medicine in 1995. She is a CFPC Specialist working in family medicine. She completed her residency at Queen’s University from 2007 to 2009.
Consolata holds MHSc in Community Health and Preventive Medicine from 2002 to 2004.
How Many Siblings Does Survivor 42 Maryanne Oketch Have?
Maryanne has two younger siblings; Akinyi “Ruth” Oketch and Joel Oketch. Her brother Joel completed high school at Trinity College School – TCS in 2019. He studied business for one year in April 2021 at DeGroote School of Business – McMaster University.
Joel is currently studying LLB, Law at the University of Exeter and is expected to graduate in 2024.
Whereas Maryanne’s sister Akinyi Oketch is pursuing a career to become an actress. She has been a regular performer at Queen’s Musical Theatre. In addition to that, she is also an aspiring musician.
