Tiffany Gomas, a Texas marketing executive told police that the dramatic flight meltdown that resulted in her yelling “that motherf—r back there is not real” to puzzled fellow passengers was caused by a disagreement over wireless headphones. According to records acquired by The Post, Dallas resident Tiffany was expelled from the aircraft as a result of her unusual outburst, which caused hours of delays for other travelers.
The 38-year-old was not willing to depart the American Airlines flight and had to be removed by employees, according to the police records, despite saying “I’m getting the f—k off, and there’s a reason why I’m getting the f—k off” in the viral video of her storming up and down the plane aisle. Tiffany continued, “You can sit on this plane and you can f—ing die with them or not,” as she turned toward the front of the aircraft. I won’t do that. According to the police, Gomas got into a fight with the relatives she was visiting and accused them of stealing her AirPods.
“The female then started claiming the aircraft was not safe and did not want the aircraft to leave due to her believing it would not make it to its destination,” the July 2 complaint reads. “Due to the statements the flight attendants felt the aircraft needed to be rescreened. [The airline manager] explained that the passenger was denied boarding and they wanted her escorted to the public side.”
Due to the nature of Tiffany Gomas’ concerns, the remainder of the passengers on Flight 1009 from Fort Worth to Orlando were then forced to disembark and go through security screening once more.
“TSA personnel arrived at the scene to conduct a full rescreening of the aircraft,” the paperwork revealed. Tiffany was “distraught” and attempted to board the aircraft until the cops arrived at the gate. Gomas refused to communicate with officers from the Dallas-Fort Worth Department of Public Safety.
“[The airline manager] gave Gomas a verbal criminal trespass notice, explaining she was denied boarding and needed to depart the secure area,” investigators noted.
The refused passenger was eventually led to the airport’s non-secure area, but the docs claim that didn’t stop her from repeatedly attempting to pass through TSA screening and enter the boarding area. Gomas was waiting for an Uber at the terminal’s curb when police finally located her.
She was issued a criminal trespass notice, but she declined to sign it. According to the allegation, Gomas failed to present the police her ID. She was never formally detained or arrested. Gomas declined to comment on the incident to The Post through a spokesman. Despite the damage to her reputation, Gomas is probably untouchable legally. “The viral video if the stunning part of it, but I doubt you’re going to see some big prosecution over it,” Austin Attorney Adam Loewy told The Post.
