The subject of VH1’s forthcoming season is “sisterhood, growth, and adversity as new and returning cast members continue to evolve and face life’s challenges head-on.”
Season eleven won’t see DJ Duffey, Brittish Williams, or Brandi Maxiell return. Amid filming season 10, Malaysia Pargo resigned from the show due to ongoing tension with her co-stars. Although there are rumors that she will return at some point, she does not have any intentions to return for this season.

Vanessa Rider On Basketball Wives
Vanessa Rider is one of the new cast members of season 11 of Basketball Wives.
Despite being a “basketball wife” for many years she only chose to join the show in 2023. She has been talking with “Basketball Wives” since her first season in Miami. However, her husband’s pushback was the reason she didn’t join the show for all these years.
Vanessa learned that the show was under new executives and was going to be overseen by BET. She believed it was a great opportunity for her and her husband’s business expansion.
Despite being a newcomer, Vanessa thinks that she and four of her cast members currently have ties with the basketball world. Other women on the show though they have been in it for a very long time, don’t. So, Vanessa thinks that she and her fellow cast members’ stories should be more relevant.
The first drama that she got dragged into was with Evelyn Lozada. Vanessa shared that production knew about the situation from back all the way in 2013. She was signed on for season 9 but COVID happened her husband Isaiah confirmed to her that he pulled the plug on her.

Vanessa Rider has known her husband Isaiah Rider since she was 18 years old. They broke up for five years but has was on and off before they got married. They have been married for 14 years as of December 2023.
Vanessa and Isaiah got back together in 2009. Isaiah’s name was brought up once during a domestic violence incident. The couple were arguing and a small accident happened where Vanessa scraped her knees. But, Vanessa shared that her husband has never put his hands on her and there has never been any incident of domestic violence in their relationship.

Talking about her husband, Isaiah is an American former professional basketball player who played 9 seasons in the NBA. Raised in neighboring Alameda, Isaiah was born in Oakland, California. Before beginning a collegiate career at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and a professional career in the National Basketball Association, he was a standout player for both baseball and basketball at Encinal High School.
The Minnesota Timberwolves selected Rider with the fifth overall choice in the 1993 NBA draft. Rider got off to a great start in the NBA, making the All-Rookie First Team after the 1993–94 campaign. He confidently claimed that he would win on draft day with a dunk dubbed “The East Bay Funk Dunk.” He went on to win the 1994 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
Isaiah also played for the Portland Trail Blazers, Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Lakers, and Denver Nuggets.
They share four children. Her younger children are 2 years old Seven Ling Rider (Born 7 July 2021) and 13-year-old Isaiah IV (12 March) and her older two are 16-year-old Kya (January 13) and 18-year-old Elijah Sunny King (31 October). She had wanted another baby but unfortunately, it was a carriage.
