While viewing the first season of Next Level Chef, Vincent “Vinny” Alia’s coworker Shawn Phillips filled out the 40-page application for him, writing “Firehouse Cook” in it. When the show’s producers requested some photos from Vincent, he was unprepared and said: I’m just a firehouse cook. I don’t have any plates, I don’t know how to make anything look fancy.”
Vinny was invited to the interview round thanks to the images, and the producers were blown away by his character and upbringing. After testing positive for Covid in London, where he was due to film for the competition, he was able to attend the show.

Fox has resumed airing Next Level Chef season 2, which debuted on February 12, 2023. The program is an epic, one-of-a-kind cooking competition with a distinctive venue for the contestants. The stakes are high for the competing cooks with a one-year mentoring and $250,000 on the line.
“I don’t think it’s really hit me yet,” Vinny told The Gardner News. “I think it’s scary and fun and nerve-wracking, and I just hope I represented the firefighters, the veterans, the dads, and I hope I just did well for my family.”

Gary was a musician for 57 years. He was an accomplished player of trumpet, bass, and piano. He played at the Buttercup, Chopsticks, and Singapore when the Prodigy (Tracy Bros.) band was on tour.
Gary also played bass for Luther Guitar Junior Johnson for many years with whom he traveled the United States and gained notoriety as a blues player.
Gary was born on 12 December 1954 in Solvay, New York to Vincenzo “Jimmy” Alia and the late Diega (Greco) Alia. He died unexpectedly on 1 June 2021 at the age of 66.
Vinny’s mom Kim was born on 21 October 1956 in Ticonderoga, NY.
Kim attended Moriah Central School up until her senior year and graduated from Lakeland High School in Florida. She was an artist who was very crafty, had an eye for design, and had a love for vintage clothing and antiques. She cared for her beloved horse Thunder growing up and remained a focal point for many of her stories told to her grandchildren.
Kim sold cars at Robert’s Chrysler Plymouth in Fitchburg throughout the ’80s and ’90s. She endured a vast knowledge of cars and continued to sell cars at various dealerships throughout her career.
