American Idol Iam Tongi when he auditioned for season 21 of the show, he dedicated his performance to his dad. He dedicated the stirring James Blunt performance of “Monsters” to his late father Rodney, who had passed away only a few months earlier. His late son’s interest in music was sparked by Rodney.
