Vanderpump Rules stars Katie Maloney, following her separation from Tom Schwartz, her husband of nearly 12 years, introduced to viewers her new beau in a recent episode of the show. Addressing Satchel (Thomas) Clendenin as the new man in her life, she said he is a very sweet guy and she met him one night when she was out with her girlfriends. Also, she took time to gush that he was named after baseball player Satchel Paige by his parents. This brings us to fans’ questioning related to his parents. So, in the rest of the writing, let us tell you who they are.
Who Are Satchel Clendenin’s Parents?
Lorrie and Bill Clendenin had a very regular upbringing. He was born to very loving and supportive parents. And so, even today, they continue to be the most important people in his life.
Meet Bill Clendenin, Satchel Clendenin’s Father
Satchel Clendenin’s father is Bill Clendenin. He is also known as William H Clendenin and turned 52 years old in June 2022. He has always remained in Bethesda, Maryland it seems.
We don’t yet know much about his career or job. But, back in 2009, he had been working in sales at Crown Stairs & Rails.
Meet Lorrie Clendenin, Satchel Clendenin’s Mother
Lorrie Clendenin is a preschool teacher with an artistic streak. Over the years, her creative ambitions have gone beyond shaping ceramics on her potter’s wheel. She actually reshaped her home using recycled materials and bringing an outdoor look indoors. More about this, let us tell you later.
Lorrie’s actual name is Celia Clendenin. He reached the age of 52 in December 2022.
She is the daughter of the late Dr. Ellen Garb McDaniel, former Associate Dean for Admissions at the University of Maryland Medical School and long-term faculty member (UMMS, GW, and Georgetown Medical Schools), and prominent forensic psychiatrist. Back in January 2012, he died peacefully at her home in Highland, Maryland following a gutsy battle with cancer. She was 71 then.
Ellen, at the time, was also survived by her husband John P. McDaniel, and son Michael McDaniel (married to Katharine Becker) of Baltimore.
Are Satchel Clendenin’s Parents Still Together?
It appears so. Satchel Clendenin’s parents have been likely together and married as of now.
Because the folks were not on social media, as of 2023, one could not look them up. Also, it was not quite clear what they have been up to in recent times.
Satchel was on Instagram though. As of May 2023, there were 33 posts and 1,645 followers here. Also, on its BIO he teasingly helped people with their confusion about his name with “No this ain’t a purse, it’s a satchel”.
Satchel, like his beau Katie and other Pump Rulers, is an aspiring actor. He has appeared in a handful of short films, music videos, and theater productions, while also working as a restaurant server on the side. Not to miss, he was a hockey player before moving to Los Angeles.
How Many Kids Do Satchel Clendenin Parents Have?
Satchel Clendenin’s parents applied a unique way of naming their kids. After Satchel, they named their two years younger daughter Marley after reggae legend Bob Marley. Because Satchel’s dad has a thing for him. But, when it was time to name their youngest of all Cooper, they chose the name just because they liked that name.
Here are a few things we know about them. Marley played soccer at Susquehanna (Class of 2022). And that same year, Cooper too was on the 2022 Men’s Soccer Roster. Previously he played soccer for the Barons and was selected to the Honor Roll all four years. He went to Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School with an undecided major. Meanwhile, Marley went to the same school with a Psychology major.
As of January 2023, Marley was 23, and Cooper 20. While Satchel turned 26 on March 26th of that year.
Where Do Satchel Clendenin’s Parents Reside?
Satchel Clendenin’s parents had been residing in Bethesda, Maryland as of May 2023. While everyone around expected them to move from Rosedale Park selling the house they purchased in 1999, they instead remodeled it in 2008.
Central to their wide-ranging renovation plans, back then, was a kitchen/family room, rather than a formal dining room. Because Lorrie had explained then she and her family spend lots of time in the kitchen and family room. All the time, while the construction crew expanded that room and added others, the Clendenins had lived with Lorrie’s mother-in-law near Montgomery Mall, which they loved. Yet, each weekday, she said, was stressful driving the kids to their house in rush hour traffic to catch the school bus. Then she had to monitor the contractors’ progress.
Of course, Satchel’s parents did it all based on the “recycled and reused” concept. Following a basic architectural plan drawn up by a friend of a friend, they hired Miller & McIntyre builders of Frederick. It turned out well and they at last also donated all their doors, windows, kitchen cabinets, old appliances, lamps, and electrical stuffonating items to organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Community Forklift.
Later, this project of Lorrie and Bill also got featured on MOCO 360, in their story about Bethesda-area homeowners choosing to remodel their homes rather than buying new ones.
