Talking about her character Dr. Simone Griffin, Alexis told that she finds her character “a hard worker,” who has “a personal, as well as sort of a political, drive to her work in the hospital.” Although it’s a challenging place for her to be, Alexis shared that it’s also the place that invigorates Simone, a place “to not only empower her as a physician” but also “be a place of foundational change in the field of medicine.”
Adding to that, Alexis said, “She’s definitely very focused…You’ll see her grow and change… You’re going to see her grow as a person, as a doctor, and see how those things inner work which is a special thing for her.”
