Back in May 2022, General Hospital star Steve Burton announced via Instagram star that he and his ex-wife Sheree Burton have separated. Additionally, he shared that Sheree was expecting another child but he wasn’t the father of the child.

“I wanted to clear something up. Sheree and I are separated. She recently announced that she’s expecting her 4th child,” Steve wrote. “The child is not mine.”

Sheree first sparked speculation that she and Steve were having Izabella with a baby bump selfie. “Life sure is full of surprises!” she wrote via Instagram Stories. But in May Steve clarified that he is not the father of the child.

Sheree later gave birth to a daughter, Izabella, announcing her happy news via Instagram.

She captioned the post, “My beautiful blessing Izabella 💝 Some things I’ve realized with having my 4th baby in my 40s…I know how fast it goes by. I don’t sweat the small stuff, and I do my best to be present with all my children and live in the moment. I know I’m far from perfect but my kids know they’re loved and ultimately that’s really all that matters.”

Sheree Burton did not comment on the paternity of her baby in the post when she welcomed Izabella. She has been quiet about her baby father and never shared anything as of the time of this article.

Sheree Burton And Steve Burton’s Relationship

Sheree Burton and Steve Burton reportedly married on 16 January 1999. Steve rose to fame in the role of Jason Morgan on General Hospital, where he made his television debut in 1991. Eight years later, he wed Sheree, a behind-the-scenes soap opera employee.

“I have the greatest wife in the world,” Steve gushed to Soap In Depth in 2019. “She’s just an incredible mom and partner. I couldn’t do any of the stuff I do without her. It’s the cliché of, ‘Behind every man is a great woman.’ She’s everything.”

In the same year, Steve opened up about their Valentine’s Day plans to Soap In Depth. “There were years when I came home from work, and she’d done it up. She made a romantic dinner at our place and decorated it with rose petals and candles all over the place,” he said at the time. “I’ll leave the rest of the evening up to the imaginations of the American people!”

The actor added: “I have an amazing wife. And an amazing life.”

The couple celebrated their 22nd marriage anniversary in January 2021. “You had me at hello…😉 It’s been a wild and crazy ride @1steveburton,” Sheree captioned her anniversary post on Instagram at the time. “AND He still manages to make me laugh almost every single day. 🖤 #22years.”

They were together at least until August 2021 when they were featuring each other on their respective social media post. They also celebrated Christmas together. However, weeks later Sheree shared a cryptic message about mistakes.

“If you could go back, what would you tell your younger self? I would have said… Follow your passions… People will hurt you, but always be kind and take the high road… Don’t be afraid to fail or try new things… Learn from your mistakes because you will make mistakes..it’s ok!” Sheree wrote in January 2022. “You are strong, brave, beautiful, and capable of anything you put your mind to. Life is short, so live it and love everyone. ✨ I hope your day was beautiful.”

US Weekly attested, in his divorce petition, Steve cited “irreconcilable differences.” He indicated that they would part ways on March 1, 2022. He is asking for shared custody of their two minor children, both legally and physically.

Sheree Burton shared three children with her ex-husband Steven Burton. They are named Makena, Jack, and Brooklyn.

Makena, the oldest of three, was born on 5 September 2003. Three years later, the ex-couple welcomed their son Jack on 26 March 2006. Their youngest daughter Brooklyn arrived in July 2014.
