Timothy is a native of South Carolina and received his JD from the University of South Carolina in 1978.

He has been zealously defending the rights of people accused of crimes ever since.
His long and successful career has taken him to Courts throughout South Carolina, as well as Federal Courts in Atlanta and West Virginia. He has argued appellate cases before the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the South Carolina Court of Appeals. While in private practice, he has been active in the formation of the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National College of DUI Defense.
