Addicted to Marriage cast was just obsessed with saying “I do”, and Shae Malbrough was the least enthusiastic one. She wanted Joe to be her final husband and for that, she was making sure everything was right before they head to the nuptials.

Likewise, Joe believed in her. “I’m only going to get married once. And I don’t want to just be a second divorce for Shae,” he said.

But there was a little problem. Shae is married more than once, and Joe did know that!

“Eventually, I’m going to have to tell him I’ve been married more than once,” Shae confessed.

Also, there was another issue lingering around. Shae wanted Joe to sign a relationship contract, which can be a turnoff. 

But Shae wasn’t the only one struggling on Addicted to Marriage. Her cast member, Amy felt the same as her that the revelation will push her boyfriend away in the opposite direction, and Monette (the one with eleven marriages) was cooking up ways to convince her boyfriend John to get married. Moreover, John was having second thoughts as well.

Kecia Clarke and Ernst Michel were the only couples whose wedding seemed close at hand. The two were engaged in June 2020 and registered with Zola as their event manager for their wedding.

Shae Malbrough Ex-Husbands

Shae Malbrough has two ex-husbands and four ex-finances. She was the youngest and the one with the least divorces on Addicted to Marriage.

“Looking back, I think I should have gotten to know myself a lot better. But, I am a person that’s in love with love, so I was blinded by my pursuit of chasing love,” she shared.

Unfortunately, the details about her previous marriage and the names of her ex-husbands weren’t revealed. All we know is that both of her marriages lasted for around two and a half years, and she was “betrayed by all of (her) ex-fiances and husbands.”

As of 2021, she was all in on making Joe her third and last husband.

The two first met when Joe was her Uber driver. However, Shae didn’t immediately like him. “I thought that he was weird (at first). I was like, ‘Just drive me to my destination, you’re trying to get somewhere with me, and I’m just trying to get home, you need to relax,’” she said.

Then the pair started talking about their hobbies, and what do they know, they both liked horror movies. Also, Shae slowly noticed that Joe was “kind of cute.” So, she thought, maybe  they “can see movies together and see where it goes.”

They officially began dating on January 22, 2019.

As for Shae’s family, they had mixed reactions to her divorces and her relationship with Joe. Half of them understood her “dream to get married”, while the others were like, “Girl, give it up, just be single forever.”

A little info about Joe — He is a Sandpoint, Idaho native, who attended Sandpoint High School. Later, he went on to study film at Montana State University, and communications at the University of Idaho.
