Meet Humberto Preciado, The Bachelor Star Courtney Robertson Husband
Humberto Preciado and Courtney Robertson met each other in April 2019 when they got in touch via Instagram.
“He had ‘liked’ a photo of mine on Instagram and I recognized his name. I remember like 10 years ago a friend of mine telling me about a guy she liked, Humberto. His name is so unique. I didn’t put it together right away, but I was like, ‘Wait, have we met before?” she told Us Weekly. “‘This guy is cute. Oh my gosh, he lives in Arizona.’ I DM’d him and then we went out a couple of days later and we’ve been together for eight months. He moved in July, and the rest is history.”
The pair announced their engagement in December 2019. Additionally, they announced welcoming their first kid via an IG post. Courtney captioned the post, “Happy Holidays from the three of us 🥰 I can’t wait to marry this man, with our son there 💙.”
She added, “Easiest ‘YES’ I’ve ever said.” Courtney stated that Humberto requested her father’s OK before popping the question after learning that they were expecting a child. Early in December, the couple’s friends and family attended a gender reveal celebration where they learned they were carrying a boy.
They welcomed their son named Joaquin Ramon. He was four months old when the couple decided to tie the knot on 16 October 2020. PEOPLE exclusively reveals that the former Bachelor contestant wed Humberto in a small ceremony in Sedona, Arizona.
Touching details abounded during the ceremony, which was attended by just 25 family members who had all tested negative for COVID-19. “We initially had a 100-person wedding, and we scaled it back from there,” Courtney told PEOPLE. “We had to change everything so many times. But it was really special to just have our nearest and dearest.”
“When I met Humberto, it was a no-brainer,” Robertson told PEOPLE. “I know this is meant to be.”
“Planning a wedding while expecting a baby was definitely stressful,” Courtney told the magazine. “But we initially had a much bigger wedding and because of COVID-19, we scaled it way back. It feels really good to just have our nearest and dearest with us to celebrate. Sweet and simple!”
The ceremony, a somber memorial to Courtney Robertson’s mother Sherry, who passed away last year, took place just a few steps from the location of her parents’ 40-year-old wedding. “My mom was in my heart all day,” Courtney said. “Tlaquepaque has always been a special place for my family. So I love that I can keep coming with Joaquin and Humberto and it’s special for us too.”
On their second wedding anniversary, Courtney posted, “Two years later. Life just keeps on getting better & better with you ♥️ Thanks for making our anniversary so special & relaxing ✨ @_humberto_preciado.”

My sister had three boys. I was like, ‘Of course, I’m probably not going to have a boy.’ We got the results back and I was actually shocked. I just thought in my head it was a girl. We had a girl name picked out.”
In July 2021, they broke the news that they were expecting baby no. 2. Courtney gave birth to her daughter Paloma on 21 November. “She was small but mighty at 4 pounds, 15 ounces, and 18.5 inches long,” the proud mom said in a statement at the time.
