Alexa Wildish in the audition of The Voice 2023 sang Songbird. During Top 56, Alexa performed Songbird. During the battle round, Alexa sang Everything I Wanted where she competed against Lvndr.
Then, during the knockouts on Top 36, Alexa sang Believe and won against Julia Roone and Lennon VanerDoes. Alexa was part of the final batch of contestants to hit the singing competition stage on (Nov. 14.) For her song choice, she decided to put her own stamp on none other than Cher’s “Believe.”
Her rendition of a timeless song, Alexa, secured her a playoff berth. According to her coach Niall Horan, “she is a one-in-a-million talent,” which is why he picked Wildish over VanderDoes and Roome.
Many people forgot about the actual singer when Alexa brought her version of Cher to the Knockouts stage. Because of her “magical” performance, she advanced to the live playoffs. While Alexa hopes to win The Voice in 2023, she has already triumphed in competitions.
Alexa Wildish Career
Alexa Wildish’s website describes her as someone who sings like she’s reading aloud from her journal and has a flawless mountain stream voice. She had been traveling around every state in the West in a van for the past year, singing her songs as she went. This was her way of pursuing her wanderlust. Now she’s arrived in Lyons, Colorado, a small mountain music town.
Her creative music is characterized by a polished vocal style with elements of Celtic, big-hearted country, and Americana influences. Alexa, who won the songwriting competition at the 2019 Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, sang live on stage with a full band at Planet Bluegrass in August 2021. Her songs invite listeners to experience the richness of life by delving into the immense reservoir of human emotions with humor and levity.
Producers Dan Knobler and Russell Durham worked with musicians including Ruth Moody (Wailin’ Jennys) and Jordan Tice (Hawktail) to record her self-titled EP at Goosehead Palace.
Her dad’s passion for collecting vintage guitars inspired Alexa’s love for acoustic stringed instruments, which led to her playing guitar and octave mandolin. She took voice lessons from the age of five, started classical voice training at seven, and went on to study musical theater through high school at OCSA.
Alexa’s deep love for the Americana music scene came when she saw the Wailin’ Jennys perform at a festival when she was 17. Life came full circle when a member of that band sang harmonies on Alexa’s debut EP in 2018.
A few years later, Alexa began couch surfing and really wanted to experience life in a mobile home/touring vehicle. A friend offered her his loaded-out van, and Alexa spent the following months living out of it and traveling wherever her next gig would take her.

In late 2016, Brandon released his second album (Other Side), which received great reviews and press reaching London. Blending the sounds of acoustic folk and alternative rock, Brandon has been described as having a relaxed West Coast vibe, similar to Jason Mraz, with classic rock roots grounded in the stylings of Pink Floyd.
Another son Debbie is named Loren Wildish. Loren studied Political science at California State University, Fullerton. He is married to his wife Jessica Wildish and lives in Richland, Washington.
Alexa Wildish Father
Alexa Wildish’s father is called Daniel Wildish. Daniel turned 70 in November 2023.
Daniel was born to his late parents Mary Jane (nee Sommers) and Robert S. Wildish. He lost his brother William Nelson Bill Wildish in March 2017. He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Vietnam era, a public school teacher, the former mayor of Herculaneum, a member of the United Methodist Church, and a former Republican Party Chairman for the greater Tucson area.
The other sibling of Daniel is Steve (the late Brenda) Wildish of Newport Beach, California.
Moreover, according to Alexa’s website, she grew up in a musical household where her dad played guitar while her mom sang songs.
On Father’s Day 2021, Alexa dedicated a post to her dad writing, “I am grateful for you, dad. :: your joy is palpable and felt wherever you go. I cherish the days we swim in the big blue lake and laugh together. how wonderful it is that somewhere in the cosmos, we chose each other in this lifetime 💚💕🙌🤗☀️.”
