Alyssa Klinzing On Deal Or No Deal
Alyssa Klinzing joined the castaways of Deal Or No Deal‘s spin-off show Deal Or No Deal Island along with 12 contestants to a remote island to play the briefcase game while facing physical challenges. She recently sat with Distractify to discuss her appearance on the show.
Alyssa initially inquired about being a briefcase model in the casting director’s DM after learning that Deal or No Deal was casting in her neighborhood. She accepted the casting director’s offer, but she was asked to compete.
Deal or No Deal Island, which didn’t have a working title at the time, intended to have teams, so the program consented to have Ale Vega, also known as Vega, participate alongside Alyssa’s girlfriend-turned-fiancee. But soon after, the team concept was dropped, and Alyssa was ordered to compete alone.
“I had to take a few days to think about it because it was super outside my comfort zone — like living on an island,” she explained. “I didn’t know, like, ‘Are there going to be toilets?’ Showers? A bed? Do I have to fish for my food?’ I don’t even eat fish. Like, how would I eat?”
In response to the question of whether she had trained for Deal or No Deal Island, Alyssa replied that she had recently recovered from her third COVID episode while traveling across the nation with Vega, which had left her less prepared for the tournament.
“I remember being really stressed out before going into the game because I was experiencing forms of long COVID,” Alyssa added.
“So I felt like I couldn’t get full breaths of air at some times,” Alyssa mentioned that the on-site medic had to tend to her when she climbed the tree for arrows during the archery challenge in Episode 2. “It just felt like I couldn’t feel my lungs. And I was really afraid that I was going to pass out.”
This breathlessness, according to Alyssa, “was honestly a theme that I faced the entire time that I was in the show.” She was fortunate to have made the correct friends on the island in Aron Barbell and ally “Boston” Rob, who prevented her from competing against the Banker when she finished in the bottom two that episode, saving her from elimination.
“I’m still super close with Aron and several others from the cast,” she explained. “I’ll let the season play out, and I think it’ll be pretty obvious who I’m in touch with and who I’m not.”
If invited, Alyssa wishes to compete in the show again.

Through her career as a social media influencer and content creator, Alyssa has amassed a net worth above $100 thousand. Alyssa hinted subtly in the first episode that she used to be a theme park princess. She spent seven years performing as a character at this theme park, which was none other than Disneyland, beginning in 2016.

Alyssa attempted to participate in athletics at first, but it wasn’t for her. However, she declared, “”I loved the competition aspect of it. But I also just loved the self-growth aspect of it. And I was also really good at it. So that was a plus.”
