Who Are Amber Laign Parents?
ABC News anchor and GMA maven Robin Roberts are in a relationship with her long-time partner Amber Laign. Amber is the daughter of her parents Paul Laign and Andrea Laign. Paul and Andrea welcomed her on 6 September 1974 making her 48 years old.
Amber allegedly attended Round Valley Middle School in Lebanon, New Jersey, where she spent her formative years. She relocated to California with her parents, Andrea and Paul Laign, and lived most of her life in the San Francisco Bay Area. 1992 saw Amber’s graduation from Clayton Valley High School. She was the color guard captain and a member of the school’s marching band.
According to reports, Amber spent her first nine years in sales at the renowned Berger and Stevens showroom in New York. Amber specializes in trigger point, deep tissue, Swedish, and myofascial release massages. She also assists her patients who experience persistent pain.
Amber has been dating Robin since 2005. But, they went public with their relationship only in 2013. Amber’s mom once spoke to DailyMail and revealed that she and her husband are very supportive of her daughter’s relationship. She told, “We are very very happy for them. Her dad and I and the whole family are very happy and totally supportive.”
Andrea revealed she and her husband Paul had met Robin and given their blessing to the relationship.
The anchor of Good Morning America, Robin Roberts, is a well-known author and journalist. On Jan. 2’s Good Morning America, Robin confirmed that she’s “saying yes to marriage” this year. “We’re getting married this year,” she said to author Gabrielle Bernstein, revealing that the couple has “talked about” walking down the aisle, however, “put it off” when Amber was battling breast cancer.
According to The US Sun, Robin and Amber have been together since 2005, although Robin didn’t publicly come out as LGBT until 2013. In December 2013, she posted on Facebook, “I am grateful for my entire family, my longtime girlfriend, Amber, and friends as we prepare to celebrate a glorious new year together.”
In 2014, Robin came out on GMA for the first time. “I’m going to tell you all this, and you know because you’ve had a front-row seat to the tumultuous year I’ve had,” Robin said. “I have never been happier or healthier than I am right now.” She later thanked her girlfriend Amber for supporting her through “a very difficult year.”
