The time’s going great for Jeopardy! Masters contestant Andrew He as he welcomed his son within 24 hours of appearing in the prestigious competition.

Andrew He Jeopardy Winnings
Andrew He first competed on Jeopardy in November 2021. Per J! Archive, he had a five-game winning streak, taking home $157,365. He was defeated by Amy Schneider, a legend of the game who went on to become a fan favorite and a history-maker with a 40-game win streak, second only to now-host Ken Jennings.
A year later, Andrew got a chance to be a part of the Jeopardy: Tournament of Champions. In that tournament, Andrew became a fan-favorite after his first run and close games. He again got a chance to compete against Amy in the Tournament of Champions but unfortunately lost again.
In his initial run on the show, Andrew was asked about his plan for his Jeopardy winnings. Although the game show contestant initially said that intended to give some amount away in a “donation,” he admitted that he would help a friend build his small business.
“I would love to help my friend Vincent start an ice cream company. He’s the only person I know who checks out cookbooks from the library, and he makes incredible ice cream,” Andrew said.

Coming to Andrew He’s job history, he was a software engineer before he appeared on Jeopardy. According to his unconfirmed LinkedIn handle, he worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Addepar from May 2015 to July 2015 before moving to intern at Dropbox.
In June 2017, Andrew began working as a software engineer at Elliot Technologies and worked there until August of that year. He, then, left his job at Elliot’s to work as Autonomous Vehicle Engineering Intern at Cruise.
From July 2019 to September 2021, Andrew worked as a software engineer at Impira. His last job as per his LinkedIn handle was at Modal.
About his education, Andrew has a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Math and Computer Studies. He was a student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2015 to 2019.
Before taking a shot at Jeopardy himself, Andrew helped a friend prepare for the popular game show. A former competitor of the game, Sam Kavanagh, gave Andrew a shoutout on Twitter, revealing that he had helped him prepare for the “Tournament of Champions.”
“My friend Andrew He, who helped me practice for the Tournament of Champions, is on Jeopardy today and it’s the most excited I’ve been watching the show since my appearance,” Sam tweeted.

On Monday night’s episode of Jeopardy! Masters, Andrew revealed that he welcomed a son named Everett since being on the show last week. He was asked by the show’s host Ken Jennings what sort of changes he had in his life since he last appeared on the show. In response to the question, Andrew said, “Well yeah, now I have a newborn son.”
Andrew gave an emotional shout-out to his partner, Sarah, during one segment in the show. “I love you so much, this is for you, and I wouldn’t be anywhere near here if not for you, so I’m going to hope to bring something nice back for you and baby Everett,” he said.
The Chinese-American also thanked the crew workers at Jeopardy. “I had the double blessing of going from being here on the stage to within 24 hours going with my partner and welcoming the arrival of our son,” Andrew told host Ken Jennings.
