Meet Conor Hickey, Angus Cloud Dad
Fans are mourning the sudden and untimely death of Euphoria actor Angus Cloud. TMZ reported that he was struggling with the grief of losing his father Connor Joseph Hickey. He was having a hard time with his dad’s burial in Ireland the week before Angus died.
According to TMZ, a source close to the family “tells us Angus had been battling severe suicidal thoughts after getting back from Ireland, where they laid his father to rest. We’re told he was staying with his family as he tried to work through overcoming the grief.”
Angus was 25 when he passed away. The cause of his death was not confirmed. Although Angus’s mother reported that he died of a “possible overdose,” TMZ reported on July 31, 2023.
According to EOnline, Angus’s family released a statement, “It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother, and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.”
It continued, “Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.”
The statement continued, “Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.”
The statement concluded: “We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter, and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”
Born on 10 July 1998, Conor hailed from Oakland, California, USA. He was best known for Euphoria (2019), Your Lucky Day, and Untitled Monster Thriller for Universal Pictures Project (2024). He died on July 31, 2023, in Oakland, California, USA.
Prior to his passing, Agnus opened out about how difficult it was to portray a drug dealer on television while still going through his own personal issues. “Sympathy, yo. Because addiction is serious and a lot of doctors call it a disease, it’s a real thing. People don’t understand it. It’s easy to talk about and it’s easy to say, ‘Just say no,’” he told Complex in February 2022. “But for someone who is in active addiction, that is damn near impossible and they will throw their whole life away and they will die because of this disease or whatever, and then they will say it’s not a disease because you ‘choose’ to do drugs. You don’t ‘choose’ to do cancer.”
One month ago, Agnus Cloud had stated that as he continued in Hollywood, he hoped to broaden his résumé and work on a number of different projects. “I want to keep making cool projects and just keep being a part of just making cool art,” Angus told GQ in January 2022. “I’m a pretty goofy guy in real life, so it’d be fun to try and see If I could bring that goofiness to the camera.”
He noted: “Also I want to be in something like [Fantastic Four]. I want to do some [Harry Potter-esque] ‘Wingardium Leviosa.’ I’m ready for it all man. There’s like infinite universes that you can be a part of.”

Our home welcomed all our kids’ “homies”. ”
Lisa added, “About 100 people showed up at Emeryville Marina where we spent many happy times over many happy years. My fella lived large and loud! His cancer moved quickly which was devastating to all who loved him, but there is comfort in the fact that his pain wasn’t prolonged. He is the love of my life. He was an incredible father to his three children, and a great support to many many others as well. Slainte Conor Joseph Hickey.”
In another post before that, Lisa said, “The first pic is from the night he asked me to spend the rest of our lives together.” He added, “Conor and I had a great big rowdy love and our three babies are incredibly kind young adults. I know I will eventually get out of the puddle of tears I am swimming in and create the next chapter in the book of me. For now, please know that I very much appreciate the support you have given me even though I have not responded to offers for help.”
Including Angus, Conor, and Lisa also welcomed twin daughters named Molly Hickey and Fiona Cloud. In September 2020, Lisa shared, “Molly and Fiona, our awesome twins turn 18, Oct 11!! They graduate in June into a very different college trajectory but these babes are fierce, smart, funny, and gorgeous! I don’t foresee the pandemic holding them back! Mamalisa will be turning 150 oct 11.”
