AyJay Lasater On Netflix’s How to Build a Sex Room
AyJay Lasater and Taylor Stonack are the first couples who sought the assistance of Melanie Rose in season 1 of Netflix’s How To Build a Sex Room. They are open to trying new things and love to experiment when it comes to sex. But, the lack of proper setup and equipment keeps them away from manifesting some of their fantasies.
When Melanie met them two of them were living in their home built-in 1885. Both fans of rock and roll, desire to have something themed on that, sexy rock ‘n’ roll dungeon. Melanie talks about brightening the space and adding colored epoxy to the original concrete floor.
Melanie brings the idea of an X-shaped cross or St. Andrew’s cross. The designer realized that they were looking and wanted to explore each other’s kink and she took them to Ti and Iszi, kink coaches. The coaches gave the couple the 101 of BDSM in a relationship.
Melanie promised and she delivered. Both Taylor and AyJay were happy with the final result.
Are Taylor Stonack And AyJay Lasater Still Together?
Taylor Stonack and AyJay Lasater met each other for the first time in September 2019. Their path crossed when both of them were attending a Sofars concert in Denver. They got attracted to each other the first time they met. But both of them shied away from starting a conversation.
With encouragement from friends, they did start a conversation.
Once they got to know each other, they realized they had multiple commonalities including interests and experiences. They got comfortable with each other and romance sprouted in their relationship eventually becoming a partner.
On Taylor’s Instagram, AyJay first appeared in February 2020. They were also vacationing in Saint Lucia and Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico. The couple celebrates their date anniversary in January. On 23rd January, Taylor wished, “Not sure how I got so lucky, but I do know that I deserve every bit of this happiness. Happy Anniversary”.

On 25 February 2022, AyJay Lasater turned 31 years old. He was born in February 1991. Taylor wished him via an IG post and the caption read, “Happy Birthday to my snugs. AyJay Lasater Job
While in college, AyJay Lasater attended Lockheed Martin in May 2011. The internship lasted 1 year and eight months. AyJay supported the designing and testing of a Gimbaled Transceiver Assembly portion of a classified project. A year later in 2013, he became MSP Mechanical Engineer Asc.
AyJay then received the promotion to become Systems Engineer. He served as the P2000 Deputy Planning Lead (a team of 8), Study M Test Lead (a team of 5), and Program Issues Lead. She developed Study M execution CONOPs related to information dissemination beginning with customer requests, through test execution, into post-processing software developed in Python.
He kept on working till December 2016.
From December 2016 to May 2018, AyJay became a senior systems engineer.
Before quitting his job in November 2020, he was working as a systems architecture manager. In the final year, SPP and APIS Systems Architecture Manager worked with multiple programs to develop a full suite of HW/SW architectures, CONOPS, requirements development, and interface definition.
AyJay developed multiple Space Vehicle platforms, scaled to constellation architectures required to meet customer objectives.
In November 2020, AyJay co-founded and has been serving as the CTO of Albedo.
AyJay completed Mechanical Engineering at Colorado School of Mines and earned with Bachelor of Sciences in 2012. He completed a master of science in Mechatronics Systems Engineering in 2017.
AyJay Lasater Family
AyJay Lasater is the son of Gary Lasater and Jan Lasater (nee Engelking).
Gary attended Bear Creek High School and Brigham Young University. After graduation, he landed his first job as a radio announcer. Over the years he held multiple jobs ranging from corporate sales and marketing, radio DJ’ing, Union Station marketing, a disco club owner/operator, and was the Director of Communications at a Fortune 500 company. He went on 1991 to be an entrepreneur, starting two successful companies in International Banking.
AyJay’s parents met in 1981, and they tied the knots. Gary was previously married to Leslie Howard in 1976 and they had two daughters; Dawn and Dia. But Gary and Leslie divorced in 1981.
Gary died on 8 August 2021 after his battle with coronavirus at the age of 70.
AyJay has a brother named Coby Laster. He attended Chaparral High School and studied Marketing communications and Human Resources at Colorado State University.
Coby is currently working as a car salesman at 2Mazda. He also works at Douglas County School District.
