Bryce Eilenberg On RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Pit Crew
There are off and on-screen crew members which make the Emmy award-winning show RuPaul’s Drag Race possible. There are cast members, and new faces every season, and then there is the pit crew. Bryce Eilenberg is one of the members of RuPaul’s pit crew who are very active and is an integral part of the show. He has been part of the crew since season 7.
Bryce announced his appearance with a post in 2015 writing, “Premiere of #rpdr7 tonight. #pitcrew.” He assists the show’s drag queens in various challenges, even dressing in drag himself during the most recent season.
“Right now I’m trying to keep it as big as it can be without actually interfering with my career as an aerospace engineer,” he said.
Bryce claimed that after seeing David Beckham’s picture session for Emporio Armani, he made the decision to reproduce the shoot himself. He bought a pair of Emporio Armani underwear and mimicked the lighting from the shoot in his room.
When Bryce had the shots as similar to the original shoot as he could get them, he sent them to Model Mayhem, a website that links photographers with models. A week or so later, according to Eilenberg, he received an email asking whether he might be interested in appearing on the hit TV program “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
Bryce claimed that when he first opened the email, he was unfamiliar with the program. But he continued and started working with the Pit Crew on the performance. Day to day, the group’s responsibilities change, ranging from practicing dancing and singing to mingling with the visiting celebs on set.
“The very first explanation I got was basically Vanna White, except you’re a dude in your underwear,” Bryce said
The ginger hunk claimed that since the Pit Crew doesn’t feature in every episode of the show, his time commitment to the project isn’t too high; he only needs to spend 10 to 20 days a year on set. The relationship between Eilenberg’s position at Honeywell Aerospace and his involvement in “RuPaul’s Drag Race” has not conflicted with Brandon Gilbert, who has known Eilenberg since their corporate orientation.
Bryce said “RuPaul’s Drag Race” is likely to be more of a side endeavor for him despite his commitment to the Pit Crew. Despite the fact that he appreciates his work on the program, he claimed that as of right now, his balance between the Pit Crew and engineering is satisfactory.
The Pit Crew members are an essential component of the Emmy-winning reality competition show, whether they are rolling over a cart of unusual materials for a design task, performing alongside the queens, or playing Snatch Game. And while we usually “meet the queens,” it’s time for us to finally get to know the mysterious Pit Crew. In his sing-song voice, RuPaul almost sounds like he is calling them.

Bryce has also dabbled in modeling. In 2017, he modeled for Jon Magazine in the June issue of the British Men’s Fashion Magazine. In 2016, he ran Chino Hills Trail Series where he ran 31.2 miles where she secured second place in the men’s division. He ran his first marathon in 2013.
