Hoover Alabama nursing student Carlee Russell who went and reappeared is the daughter of Talitha Robinson and Carlos Russell. She allegedly disappeared after she called 911 on the evening of July 13 to report a child walking on I-459 South, a highway that runs south of Birmingham, Lt. Daniel Lowe of the Hoover Police Department said.
Carlethia “Carlee” Russell’s parents, Talitha and Carlos Russell released a written statement with NBC News during an exclusive interview.
“Carlee has given detectives her statement so that they can continue to pursue her abductor,” Talitha Russell read from the statement. When asked if she believes her daughter’s alleged abductor is still out there, she responded: “Absolutely.”
Carlee’s parents claimed they endured agonizing waiting while police conducted a quick search for their daughter. They claimed to have received multiple fake communications from individuals claiming to know what transpired.
“There were actually just so many calls and texts from people who maliciously lied to us,” Talitha said. “I just didn’t know people could be so evil.”
Carlee Russell’s parents described the moment they first laid eyes on their daughter again.
“To me? I mean, just so much joy,” Talitha Russell said. “We tried to hug as best we could, but I had to stand back because she was not in a good state. So we had to stand back and let medical professionals work with her,” Talita added.
But Carlee Russell’s parents said one thing was clear: They believe she fought for her life.
“There were moments when she physically had to fight for her life, and there were moments when she had to mentally fight for her life,” Talitha Russell said. “She made it back.” Russell’s parents urged the public not to speculate on the details of their daughter’s case.
“She’s having to deal with the trauma of people just making completely false allegations about her,” Talitha Russell said.
The pair stated that their daughter’s physical and mental health are currently their primary concerns.

Talitha Robinson Russell is the mother of Carlee Russell. Since her disappearance, Carlee has appeared for several interviews to clarify her daughter’s situation.
After Carlee returned home she took to her Facebook and wrote, “God is faithful and He has answered our prayers. We are so grateful to each of you for all the acts of kindness, generosity, and compassion you have shown. Our baby is safe!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, Father God.”

One posted on her Facebook page, “I would not recommend the service to anyone because this family had us all sitting here on social media worried about her daughter that has so-called been abducted that was never abducted she lied about a kidnapping that never happened in a lost child that was never lost”
They added, “she Googled her phone Will I get charged for an amber alert she also Google searched how to open a cash register from her job so she doesn’t get caught she stole items and preparation for her kidnapping and this family will not come forth with the proper explanation as to what happened after they had the whole entire social media and uproar I would not do business with anybody like this not ever beware do not do business with these people.”
Another wrote, “What should happen is Carlee gets fired for stealing, arrested and charged with a felony, prison and massive fines for her planned fabrication, the mom gets fired from her real estate group and unable to get hired anywhere because nobody will want to buy or sell houses with a proven liar or any group employing her, the family gets sued by everyone that donated to their hoax and anyone affected by all their bullshit over the course of those days. They never financially recover and fall out of existence.”
