Below Deck Down Under is an Australian reality television series hosted by Peacock Original. It is the 3rd spin-off of Below Deck, Below Deck Mediterranean, and Below Deck Sailing Yacht, and its first season premiered on 17 March 2022.
After lots of fan speculation as to which crew member on M/Y Thalassa crew member would get fired on the debut season of this show, the 2 June 2022-episode finally disclosed to its viewers that two stars were finally let go.
The episode saw Captain Jason Chambers fire back to back the third stew Magda Ziomek and Chef Ryan McKeown. And the viewers also saw their replacements arrive on the show on that same episode. Along with the new third stew, Taylor Dennison, it was Chef Nate Post who joined the show mid-way during S01E14. So now, here’s everything that you need to know about him (Nate Post).
Chef Nate Post On Below Deck
While Taylor, who joined at the same time, appear to fit right in with the interior crew (except for a plate clearing mishap during dinner service), Chef Nate Post faced comparatively an uphill battle because he had to cook for the guests just a few hours after his arrival.
Also, Below Deck Down Under was Nate’s first time working on a show in the Below Deck universe. But, despite that, he quickly connected with Captain Jason. Then, on the show, Nate even said things about wanting to be the Captain Jason of yacht chefs. He said, like Jason he would love to work, hard, do a great job, and effortlessly become attractive to women.
Chef Nate’s extensive yachting experience was envisioned by many to become his advantage in the galley. But, the crews and the fans also were concerned if in case his late arrival derail him from getting a permanent spot on the boat.

Chef Nate subtly mentioned in an Instagram post something about his yachting career being dysfunctional, but he did not go into details about it.
In the meantime, we have Below Deck Down Under marking Nate’s first time working on a Below Deck show. However, this is certainly not his first time appearing on TV. In 2020, he was seen as a contestant on the Australian trivia game series, Millionaire Hot Seat, which is also a spin-off of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?.
Not to miss, a seeming LinkedIn account of him, also tells us that Nate has been a Chief Executive Officer Nate’s Nice Cubes of Airlie Beach, Queensland, Australia as of March 2019 (until 2022).
The site then also mentioned him getting a culinary degree in hospitality operations/commercial cookery at Qld Tafe in 2008.
