The 7th season of Kindred Spirits recently premiered on Travel Channel and if in case paranormal is your thing, you should definitely not miss it. Hosted by paranormal investigators Amy Bruni and Adam Berry, formerly from the Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters Academy TV series, the show takes viewers to some of the creepiest and most haunted locations in the world. Psychic medium Chip Coffey joined the cast in Kindred Spirits’ fourth season and ever since he has been helping Amy and Adam in their pursuits to determine if recurring paranormal activity is tied to the families living in the residence.

Chip claims that he’s been a psychic his entire life, but he says being a medium is something that only “kicked in” in 2006. “I’m a psychic and I’m a medium. I was a psychic all my life. The mediumship stuff kicked in about 12 years ago. I would say that all mediums are psychic, but not all psychics are mediums,” Chip said during an interview with Prairie Dog magazine in 2013.
After the filming wrapped for 4th season of Kindred Spirits, Chip explained how things work on the show. He said, “We as a team go in and assess what’s happening. We gather whatever evidence we can about what’s going on and research the history of the property…”
Furthermore, Chip also explained that he goes in knowing nothing about the location or the specifics of paranormal activity to keep his mind clear. “They give me an airline ticket and a hotel room. They bring me in blindfolded sometimes,” Chip revealed.
The TV actor-turned-medium revealed to Con Skipper in a 2021 interview that his ability to connect with the dead is as real as the ghosts the teams encounter on Kindred Spirits. “But we genuinely like each other, we genuinely support each other. We’re doing great television. We’re doing what we love…,” Chup said of his co-stars.
That being said, there have been several incidents where people have devised “string operations” to expose Chip. For instance, Operation Bumblebee saw a huge mass attend Chip’s events and then fabricate stories to prove that Chip has no psychic abilities.
