Return to Amish returned on TLC for its seventh season on 14 March 2023 and introduced to viewers some original faces and some newbies as its cast for the season. Daniel opens up in the series that this is just one of the many reasons he does not believe that he is meant to be in the Amish community. Also, he talked about his tendency to actively avoid church as Amish girls are a no-go for him.

As of March 2023, Daniel Miller had been working as a taxi driver for the Amish people, employed likely under Bull Hauler Left Lane. But, because he was not anymore agreeing with the Amish beliefs, he started to look for other ways of earning his living. He was thinking of experiencing the outside world though initially, the thought of leaving his parents pained him.
Before this, Daniel went to an Amish private school in his hometown from 1st to 8th grade.

As Daniel Miller was growing up, his father, a Bishop, started his own Amish community at Hopkinton after landing into a dispute in the Old Order Amish community over some rules. Daniel in the show shared how growing up as the son of that kind of person, he had to walk up in a straight line avoiding all the disputes. To the camera, he talks about feeling like he was never meant to be Amish. Yet again, he also gushes that being the bishop’s son makes life really easy and that he always had a good Amish life.
Now though, as a grown-up man now, he seemed to look forward to exploring the limits. “We still don’t have electricity. But, we do have running water, hot water, and cold water and before this, in the other community, we only had out houses”, he said in the show.
On Mother’s Day, Danielle dedicated this message to likely his momma bear: “This morning’s sunrise sure was a reminder just how GREAT our god really is!! And also Happy Mother’s Day to all them hard-working Momma bears❤️”.
Also, Daniel once made a post on Facebook saying “I tested positive for being my mom’s best-looking child” and next to it teasingly wrote, “Haha. If my family had Facebook we’d have a big ole arguing match. Cause there’s 11 to choose from 😂”. So, we gathered that he most likely has 10 siblings.
