Pastor Tony Evans just announced his engagement to Carla Crummie. This happened four years after the death of his wife, Lois Evans. The two were married for nearly five decades before one of them decided to go on 30 December 2019 after battling biliary cancer.

The Evans family lost more of its own in recent years. Tony’s brother, sister, brother-in-law, niece, his father, were also followed by his wife in succession. Some deaths were within a year of each other, while Tony’s father and wife died within a month of each other.

During the prior talked-about service Dr Evans also opened up about Carla Crummie’s late husband as he said “Carla and her husband were on their way to Lois’ funeral when “her husband died.”‘ So, from what he said, Carla’s husband died on his way to Tony’s wife’s funeral. It was a heart attack that took him.
Carla’s late husband is also known to have a professional working relationship with Carla before he passed away in January 2020.
Also telling Carla and her late husband’s side of the story, Tony asked people to pray for them as there have been a lot of similarities between them.
Carla’s late husband too was a pastor. He has been serving as one at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church since November 1998. He and Carla had been married since 25 July 2009.
