Pixie Polite On RuPaul’s Drag Race UK
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 4 premiered its first episode in Sept 2022 and contestant Pixie Polite is happy to have avoided the “curse of Brighton”. Joe Black and Anubis were the other two contestants who hailed from the same city and were eliminated in the first episode. She was declared safe by host RuPaul.
After the show Pixie opened up, “As a native Brightonian, am I worried about the Brighton curse? A little bit – but instead of going home first, I’m going to be the last one out that door.”
Pixie was one of the 12 contenders who had to serve two looks on the runway for the first challenge of the series, one representing the BBC’s 100th anniversary and the other showcasing their personalities to the panel of judges. Pixie paid homage to the BBC comedy Only Fools and Horses by dressing as Del Boy in drag and sporting a second look that was inspired by clouds and sunshine.
Before the premiere, she introduces herself, “Hi I’m Pixie Polite. I am the belle of Brighton and the campest cow in the southeast.” Describing her drag, she said, “My drag is big, bold, and beautiful.”
Pixie entertains her fans with “powerhouse vocals, all the camp tunes anyone could want for and a little bit of comedy thrown in for good measure”.
She is also active on Twitter and has talked about the drag on her socials. She wrote, “Drag is so different now than it was “back in my day” back then you did it for the love of it & became a part of the community & scene, something bigger than yourself. I find increasingly a lot of drag is just done for clout, self-promotion or to get on certain…”
Pixie continued, “TV show Drag was HARD, it was difficult to make any money or make a name for yourself. It was uncool and no one wanted to date you. Now you can stick on a wig and a lash and proclaim yourself an icon & community leader. I don’t think. Not anything against those people…”

While introducing herself, Pixie Polite shares that she dated her fellow drag sister Tia Kofi AKA Lawrence Bolton. She said, “I come from a very large drag family. I’ve got lots of sisters who’ve been on the show before: I’ve got my evil stepsister Sum Ting Wong, and my drunk cousin Baga Chipz, but Tia Kofi is probably my closest drag sister. We’ve dated – incest, drag sisters, we won’t go into it.”
It is currently unclear how long they dated each other. Pixie and Tia are private about the relationship details as they haven’t shared any details regarding their romantic entanglements. They recently did a show together in June 2022 as they sold out Little Mix Brunch.
They were also scheduled to perform in July at Between The Bridges.
Talking about Tia, she hailed from Nottingham, United Kingdom. Born on 27 September 1990, Tia is best known for competing in the second series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. She began her career in 2014 when she started to drag on the same day and at the same venue as series 1 contestant Sum Ting Wong. After lip-synching three times, Tia Kofi ultimately placed seventh overall.
In collaboration with World of Wonder and tour operator Voss Events, Tia Kofi and the whole cast of series 2 set out on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK: The Official Tour in February 2022. She sang Outside In, Don’t Start Now by Dua Lipa, and No Way from the popular West End show Six throughout her set.
