Meet Molly Sinert And Emily Bushnell, Twins Separated At Birth & Now Starring On Amazing Race 34
Over the years since the inception of CBS’s Amazing Race, fans of the show saw many duo-competitors come and go but Molly Sinert and Emily Bushnell’s story is something else. Molly and Emily, identical twins, were born in South Korea. However, neither of them was aware of each other’s existence until 2021.
They were adopted by two different American families. They grew up in different parts of the US but not everything about their lives was contrasting. Both of them were raised in a Jewish household, worked as baristas in high school, and took dance lessons as kids.
However, fate took a hand when they had to take 23andMe for separate reasons. For Emily, it was her daughter who wanted to trace her family and little-known history from where Emily hailed.
“I resisted for years,” Emily admitted, adding: “I wasn’t comfortable sending off our DNA and honestly thought that it would be unlikely for one of my DNA relatives to have also participated,” Emily explained how she assumed that she wouldn’t have any luck looking for relatives in the states. “[I was] thinking that my DNA relatives were all in South Korea,” she stated. “Izzy’s interest never faded – so we finally decided to gift her a kit for her birthday a couple of years ago.”
But little did she know that Molly was also going to take the test because of some health problem that she was dealing with.
After the test result came, Molly was informed that she has a daughter who was weird because she never had any kids. Eventually, they reached out to each other and it shocked them to the core. Emily found her long-lost twin sister in the states that she had never thought of even in her wildest dreams.
This was before filming the Amazing Race season 34 so, they were still getting to know each other at that point. Now, they are competing on the show in the hope of winning $ 1 million.
