Fannie Schmucker On Return To Amish
TLC’s Return to Amish returned for its seventh season on March 14, 2023, and alongside multiple new cast, there appeared Fannie Schmucker, unapologetically herself. In the trailer, she explained, she knew there will be consequences for being caught with a cell phone, but she was used to bending or even breaking the rules. She’s also already at peace with whatever repercussions she may face when she leaves the community to experience the English world in a way she never has before.
For those of you new to the series, Return to Amish is a spinoff and continuation series to Breaking Amish which ran four seasons from 2012 to 2014. The show initially featured the original cast members of Breaking Amish returning to their hometowns and trying to adjust to living in their Amish communities once again. But as the original members started quitting the show, the show also returned to its original plot which was to feature Amish personas who are ready to leave the community to experience the English world.
The only original Breaking Amish stars who joined the show when Return to Amish first aired were Abe and Rebecca Schmucker. But even they left after Season 4. So, season 7 featured no OG cast except Jeremiah (who joined in later). The show now features Return to Amish stars from their previous season — Maureen and Daniel, Ada, Jeremiah and Carmela, Sabrina and Jethro, and Rosanna.
As for the new faces, they were Fannie, Bishop’s son Daniel, Kenneth, and Rosanna’s boyfriend Johnny.
Fun Fact: Kate Stoltz, who more or less left the world of reality TV after appearing in Breaking Amish’s second spinoff, returned to the show for its third spinoff — Return to Amish — seventh season.

Also, Fannie has a cousin named Esther Schmucker (in a relationship with Daniel Miller).
Furthermore, she is Mary Schmucker’s niece. If this is the first time you’ve heard Mary’s name, she’s Return to Amish star who left the Amish community to run several businesses. Back in 2015, she started a Bed & Breakfast that couldn’t pass inspection. However, the minor setback on her entrepreneurial route couldn’t halt her dreams and goals to establish a successful business. Mary published a cookbook and dabbled into the Tupperware business in 2016.
As IB Times reported, she was shunned by the Amish church during the fifth season of Return to Amish. So, she left the show to make amend with the Amish church.
Mary’s son Abe Schmucker is also a Return to Amish star. He met Rebecca on the show and they are now happily living their life outside of the Amish community.
