Gwen Grimes On N*ked And Afraid: Last One Standing
Discovery Channel’s N*ked And Afraid spinoff N*ked And Afraid: Last One Standing premiered on May 7, 2023, and it took 12 most formidable competitors from past seasons of the reality show and dropped them in South Africa’s punishing Oribi Gorge. There, the contestants faced multiphase challenges that tested their survival skills as they competed to win a $100,000 grand prize.
Gwen Grimes was one of these tough competitors who appeared in N*ked And Afraid XL back in 2020. Also, she graced an ep of N*ked And Afraid back in 2019.
Now, coming to the challenges — it unfolded in three phases within 45 days. Phase one tasked pairs of survivalists to last 21 days in the wilderness. Each pair had to hunt for food, water, fire, and shelter after earning the tools they need to survive, which are cached in the surrounding environment.
As for the second phase, the remaining survivalists entered a group challenge where they competed both with and against their teammates.
Finally, in phase three, it’s every man for himself. A three-day journey to extraction — the first person who comes out on top of that challenge will earn the six-figure prize and Naked and Afraid’s first perfect 10 Primitive Survival rating.

Gwen Grimes married her husband Nate Harbour on October 28, 2021.
Nate worked as the Associate Director of Wyldwoodz Wilderness Retreat, Inc (owned by Gwen). He is also a wilderness survival expert and acts as an instructor at the retreat. Prior to joining his wife’s adventure, Nate worked as a military man for over 2 decades with two Iraq tours to his name. He was a firearms instructor, military police officer, and aircraft mechanic.

How Many Kids Do Gwen Grimes Have?
Gwen has five “fabulous grown children.” They are Dan, Mark, Hailey, Jasmine, and Mackenzie.
Her eldest, Mark McBride (born: Jul 23, 1994) worked as a Route Sales Representative at Schwan’s Home Delivery and as a Warehouse Assistant at Shoreside Petroleum, Inc. He was married to Sarah McBride with two kids.
Likewise, Gwen’s second oldest, Dan McBride is a father of one.
Dan and Mark were born from Gwen’s relationship with Nick McBride (born: Apr 1968). He was a Blackfoot, Idaho native, a University of Phoenix graduate, who worked as a Remote Support Engineer at HP.
As for Hailey (a University of Hawaii at Manoa graduate), Jasmine (a Mount Edgecumbe High School graduate), and Mackenzie, they were born from Gwen’s relationship with Mr. Moore.

Who Are Gwen Grimes Parents?
Gwen Grimes was born to her parents, Laura Grimes McGlenn and Donald Grimes. Unfortunately, they were poor and lived off-the-grid in The Beaver State. But thanks to this, Gwen got the chance to go hunting and fishing with her father in the early hours of the morning during the hunting season.
Even now Gwen and her dad are often on trips on their bikes.
Sadly, her mother, Laura has long passed away. She took her last breath on July 2, 2007, six days before her 58th birthday. She was divorced from Donald for 13 years at the time.
On the other hand, she was married to Roger McGlenn for just a year then.
As for Donald, he’s now married to Vicki Thomas Wells Grimes.
Talking about Gwen’s siblings, she has four brothers and sisters. They are — Kara Grimes (a Barrow High School graduate), Aaron Grimes (owner of Sheepdog Enterprises LLC), Aaron W Grimes (born: May 1977), and Kara M Grimes (born: Jul 1981).
Trivia: Gwen was close to her uncle and aunt, David and Dara Saunders-Grimes, and her cousin Jordan Grimes.” My Uncle has been there for me throughout my life as a rock and a sounding board as I navigated my teen and young adult years. I am thankful to him for his love and compassion for me,” she said.
Gwen Grimes Job
Gwen Grimes is the founder of WyldWoodz Wilderness Retreat, Inc — a non-profit charity organization, recognized as a 501c3 foundation.
She started WyldWoodz after a permanent injury forced her to retire as a police officer. “Retiring didn’t change who I am. I will continue to help and protect those in need. I am also here for my brothers and sisters in blue,” she said.
At WyldWoodz, Gwen offers survival classes (basic, intermediate, and advanced), and also the retreat is open seasonally from April 20th thru August 31st. They charged $299/night for full room and board, use of facilities, recreational equipment, and a choice of posted survival classes daily.
